I don't know if you're joking or not, but I'm completely in agreement. Way before the Exodus, in fact, many years ago, 4chan's /r9k/ used to be one of my main boards. I was there long enough to see the board shift and change significantly.

Change into something grotesque and evil in nature. I remember how bad 4chan's /r9k/ got, this place looks like happiness incarnate compared to the shit I saw there. Pure hatred for the "normies" and "Chad's" that somehow robbed them of their lives. The tones of everyone typing sounded extremely bitter and angered. Probably the best (worst?) memory I have of the board was how bad the meetups were and the threads where people discussed how they fucked over Chads. The meetups were something else. Some stole money from a blind girl, some keyed cars and got up to all sorts of shit. This doesn't even cover the greentexts I saw.

This is a pretty dark and evil subculture to arise, and I honestly think most here would not buy into it if they even had half a fucking brain to think for themselves. I just think it boils down to overreaction and frequent posting by wizards that artificially inflates the board opinion. Look, even the board owner wants to use wuzchan rules as a guideline. Obviously it won't be the final product, but the fact that fucking wizchan rules are being used as a template when this board was built on OC should give hints as to where this is going.

What happened is simple: the Internet used to be a safe haven for what we call now robots.

Then the normaltards came and ruined it. As far as I recall, /r9k/ as the last bastion of OC lasted about a month before everyone gave up. I don't know why you're still clinging so hard to a vision for the board that barely took off to begin with.

I don't know about him but /r9k/ has basically become a suicide cult that worships death and that doesn't sit right with me.
