I made a decision to date the girl with purple hair. The best decision actually. We crushed, all the way through high school and never took the leap. After committing to a relationship, we hit it off with a connection stronger than I've ever felt and seen in anyone. Her and I met 4 years ago through our high school "History Club" and always kept up on each other. We started doing everything together, including historical reenacting. We attended Abe Lincoln's dinner here, hosted by our Historical Society.

Then, Life happens. The "Michigan Left" will always stand as an awful idea in my book, and now, it hurt what was nearest and dear to me. On her way home with her mom, the car was struck at nearly freeway speeds on her side. I received a phone call from her father and nearly put my own car through the garage door rushing to the hospital.
