Fucking atrocious balance too. Stats and loadouts are entirely randomised, so you'd better hope you spawn at level 100, with all of the best equipment, or you're going to get fucked. Who designed this shit?

That's just a comforting lie to excuse your irrelevance in the world. Some of us might have been born in "hard/extreme/insane mode" difficulty (i.e bad genetics, poor upbringing, etc) but if we played differently we could still "win" the game of life, or at least get a much higher score.

Vid related. There are lots of different routes we could have taken, and if another person took our place they may have done much better with this life.

Of course the thought of whether someone else would do better in our life brings up the metaphysical question of whether our path was always going to play out the same way due to an inevitable domino effect starting from birth - but seeing as we can never know for sure it's best to assume that's not the case because that's depressing and defeatist.
