I need food I can have within arm's reach, as right now I'm mostly closed off to a small box of living space. Issues are:

-I don't have anyone delivering me food, I have to go out myself - which limits me to buying food once every couple weeks.

The problem is finding food that's gratifying. Anons often recommend nuts but it's like I'm eating nothing. I'm obviously a sugar addict, a habit I'm trying to quit for dental health and general health purposes. The gratification part is very important. We're entering into the Winter, I have no heating, and most days my anxieties don't allow me to use a blanket. I'd love to eat warm pasta, pizzas, soups every day, but obviously I can't have anything that requires preparation. Eating satisfying food does genuinely make me feel happy though.

 No.283810

As a bit of a blogpost the cold issue is getting pretty bad. It's been a month since I last used my blanket. Some days I can't use my jumper, so my upper body is just covered by a tshirt. I hide my arms under the tshirt and wrap them around my body for warmth, and I bury myself into the mattress. It's getting cold though. Even my feet have been uncomfortable. I most of my sleep is being in a daze of coming in and out, being incapable of drifting off again from my upper body being so cold.

Listen to this guy. We don't want you to freeze to death, and you're definitely going to need a hot plate if you want any sort of fulfilling food.

 No.283843

as some other anons have said, there's many ways to eat cheap that's still healthy.

potatoes, oatmeal, rice, homemad soup, etc.

you can get some spices, some good broth like a few cans of 'cream of mushroom', plus a $5 chunk of meat, and use it to make enough soup to last 3 days or so.

potatoes are very filling; a single potato will fill you up decently. get a tub of margarine (it's cheaper than butter), salt and pepper, cut up some green onions if you can, and you've got a good meal.

additionally, you can get a large amount of white rice, and just cook some for a meal at a time. add some salt and pepper and it tastes bretty gud.

also, for warmth, a good sleeping bag goes miles towards keeping you warm. you can get a comfy and warm sleeping bag for $30 or so, which might be steep for your budget, but it will last you ages. also, you can get a used space heater from stores like goodwill usually, or off of ebay or other used places, for around $10. it's a much better deal than buying a new one if you're on a tight budget.

lastly, if you've yet to overcome whatever anxiety prevents you from using blankets, instead use said blankets/sleeping bags to help insulate your room. use something to get your blankets/sleeping bags to create a makeshift tent in your room, all closed off aside from the entrance. then when you go to sleep, you crawl into your makeshift tent and drape a sheet/blanket to cover the spot where you crawled in at, and you'll be pretty warm. really, tho, it'd be much easier if you just used a sleeping bag normally and crawled into it to sleep.

>potatoes, oatmeal, rice, homemad soup, etc.

Don't forget instant noodles. The cheapest brands can cost you around 30 cents per pack yet a single one of those packs can fill me up more than a large meal.

 No.283845

Maybe consider picking up a basic multivitamin.

>but I heard that your body just pisses all that out!

Your body naturally pisses out the vitamins in the food you eat too. It takes what it needs and tosses the rest. The important thing with vitamin supplements is to supplement your diet with the stuff you're not getting. Don't eat a lot of fish? Fish oil is good for you. Don't get a lot of sun? Vitamin D ain't bad either. Actually, I've been told that Omega 3 fish oil and Vitamin D are pretty much the best shit to take to help maintain some health.

Another idea to work with is understanding that you don't always need a full "meal". I know lots of people who think their food needs to be a main dish and several sides, like a mini Thanksgiving feast for any meaningful meal. If you're only hungry for a couple fried eggs, that's fine.

 No.283846

>I'd love to eat warm pasta, pizzas, soups every day, but obviously I can't have anything that requires preparation

In that case, your best bet is probably hardtack, hard cheese, and dried and smoked sausages along with a daily vitamin pill (seriously, this diet has zero vitamins, you need to take a pill or you will die).

Benefits are that it's genuinely a very satisfying diet, with the only thing that could really elevate it being fresh bread instead of hardtack.

Note that your body does require warm food once a day though. I'd recommend cup noodles for breakfast. All you need for that is a water heater, one of those in can-form. They're cheap and don't need much space.

I dunno mang, all i can recommend are food channels (18 century cooking for comfy old food, and food wishes, who only got popular because norms think his voice is "weird", but still a decent cooking channel. Cant go wrong with fat bald men). maybe try eating long chain sugars if you're having problems with sugar addiction. The main issue with modern sugar is that its a short chain sugar iirc. Just one link of glucose and sucrose. I dont remember why exactly this is bad, besides it being more addictive as its a burst of sweet (easy to break down) compared to other sugars. For me i like cane sugar more than amerifat sugar, maybe try baking some stuff with it? Get used to other flavours while not being completely dissatisfied with there being no sugar?

If you want something easy to make and warm, try homemade stews and broths, or buy from the store and pressure cooker it for a few hours with some veggies. Let all the nutrition steep into the liquid, which you can then easily drink. If you want to add meat it'll make it nice and tender, and because of the long time to prepare with no real danger (you're just boiling stuff in a pot till its soft), you can do other things while its cooking. Maybe that could get around your preparation issue? Theres also food subscription services, but they just ship you ingredients. Only one i can remember off the top of my head is blue apron.

One other thing to consider is that maybe food is unsatisfactory because of robotics? For me i find food has taste, but its boring. Like chicken tastes different from pork and beef and turkey, i can differ the flavors of fruits, but i dont really feel motivated to eat. Everything just tastes dull, nothing feels gratifying, only different from each other. Only when im hungry do flavors taste more intense, but even then feeling full isnt nice. Maybe the world's just greying out.

Serbian food is like American food.

Fatty, unhealthy and delicious. No wonder we all have cancer in our 40s and cardiovascular disease in our 50s.

You get a kind of hamburger in a bread for roughly 2$ here. You can tell them what else to put in your bun like cheese, salads or carrots and what sauces.

You literally cannot spend more than 10$ on food per day unless you want to really explode from eating or you eat some fancy restaurant stuff.

Of course alcohol is a factor too but I don't drink. I leave this to the others. In Serbia so many things are shit. People are turbo normies, they are subhumans without quality standards, they all want to scam you like this one taxi driver in belgrade that scammed me out of 6 dollars for driving me to hotel from bus station but if you have some source of passive income you can live nicely there.

 No.284039

OP here. Didn't reply because most of the advice given I don't feel I can do, at least short term. I went shopping Saturday and I bought fried pistachios, bananas on one anon's suggestion, oranges, carrots and canned spray whipped cream. The bananas still aren't ripe. I didn't feel comfortable buying fruit/veg since I don't know if they need to be washed. The carrots are labelled 'organic' and were more expensive, I hope that means there are no pesticides or other nasty stuff on them.

I thought the cream was a great idea, if it lasts outside the refrigerator. It says to keep refrigerated but hopefully that's only once opened. I bought 2 cans and I already had one the first night, it's sweet enough to satisfy my sweet tooth but it looks comparatively healthy - high fat content, and it's basically milk. I looked up nitrous dioxide (the propellant) and didn't like what I read, but it didn't scare me as much as those things usually would.

I emailed a relative to ask after a heater for me. No reply yet. It was 4 degrees last night and I'm sleeping too much because none of the sleep is restful, I keep waking up.

I'm considering a hotplate or a kettle. If I buy a pot and hotplate realistically I'll only boil water with it, so those instant tub noodles are all I can think of.

>>283845

I'm very good with multivitamins. Just realized I forgot to restock vitamin d though so I'll be a week without it, oh well. It's hard because they only sell 1000IU pills where I live but I want to be taking 4000IU a day, so I run out real quick.

I have a big problem with wanting a feast. I'm actually really disciplined with fasting because I've can often go days without food, so my natural diet is nothing all day and then one massive 2000 calorie night time dinner. I suspect this contributed to my growth and cognition problems, at least that's what my auntie thinks. That's why I don't feel very good if I just eat nuts. I've come to expect a full meal when I eat, otherwise it feels like stopping a movie 10 minutes in.

 No.297479

Ultimately you should learn to cook. As a stepping stone, those meal kit companies worked pretty well for me. The recipes are pretty varied and not too hard, they're literally idiot proof step by step instructions, and you can save the recipes to cook it with your own ingredients later. The biggest problem for me was that it's kind of expensive, comes out to $10 a meal, which by takeout/restaurant standards is cheap (quality is definitely better than most restaurants) but by homemade food standards will break the bank easily.

>>283843 is pretty good advice. Definitely try sleeping bags, where I live Academy has really cheap ones that work ok. Cabela's or Walmart may also have affordable ones. You could try getting two really cheap ones and putting one inside the other for extra warmth, although I personally prefer to just wear thermals and maybe shirts and pants and a sweater when camping in the cold. You can get thermals pretty cheap in dollar stores or Walmart, and they help stay warm a lot.

You already mentioned a hot plate, I'd suggest going the camping supply route again and looking at portable camping stoves. They have the metal frames so would be more practical for cooking, and also some can be packed away nicely. They also have little propane burners, it's a bit pricey but all you need is a small propane tank and the burner which is smaller than a child's palm. Very practical, can give decent amounts of heat, propane isn't terribly expensive, but be careful about open flames indoors. If possible, I'd suggest an electric portable stove with 1-2 plates for you.

If you have something like an electric kettle that can help a lot with warm meals. You can boil water for things like instant ramen, packet soups, dry camping food like mountain house. Those all last forever, are light and take little space. They're not terribly nutritious (although you can live on camping food in a pinch) but you can pair them with a cold meal to get nutrients while still feeling like you had something warm.

For actual food, I like salami, many kinds don't need refrigeration. Cheese, spam and other canned meat, canned fruits like pineapple, canned beans and chili, dried fruits, canned fish and sardines are all nice. Many fruits can stay fresh for days at room temp. Avocados are pretty good because they're savory, nutritious and cheap (at least where I live). Dry meats like jerky and fish are also pretty good but I personally don't like the chewing and salt. If you cook them they supposedly get better. Eggs also can be kept unrefrigerated for 1-2 weeks or more (especially fresh eggs from a eg. farmer's market), but you do have to cook them (boiling would be least messy). Of course rice, beans, lentils and such keep forever, are easy to cook, but there's some cleanup. I think some yogurts might keep, but you should experiment to see. Rye bread will keep for weeks. Ignore anything organic, it's a waste of money. Just pick produce that has a good balance of quality and price, and give it a good rinse if you're worried. I never rinse produce and never had problems, but maybe I'm just used to it.

You can get a vacuum sealer for a lot less than a fridge, and it will help keep food longer. Eventually you might consider a mini-fridge. That will allow you to keep actual milk and meat and a few other niceties, as well as saving leftover food. Remember also that best-by dates are way too conservative, most food is good days past the expiration. Those dates are such that say 95% of food will be good up to that date, but in reality it's a bell curve and much of it will be good many days past the date as well.

 No.297510

>Organic is only a waste if you literally only care about surviving.

You said it. I figure in OP's situation, maybe paying 2-3 times more for food with dubious benefits is not the wisest given that it's a pretty meaningless designation with little regulatory oversight, and whenever you eat out you're pretty much guaranteed to get "inorganic" food anyway.

But as you say, anyone can look at the evidence and decide for themselves if the price premium is worth it.

 No.297517

>>297503

>Are you implying that refined sugars are good to eat?

Not that guy, but I'd say that cutting all sugars out of your diet is bad. The problem is that refined sugar delivers only energy but no vitamins or mineral compounds. The side product of refinement, molasses, has all the missing nutrients and it's also sweet. It's amazingly good for baking stuff like sweet bread or for sweetening coffee. People say sugar beets are trash but they're not. Sugar beet molasses have a lot of nutrients. From what I've seen, molasses are dirt cheap in most countries. In my shithole you can't even get that at any stores except few health stores which import them from adjacent countries and sell them at ludicrous prices. My country has a sugar industry, I just don't know what the fuck are they doing with molasses, my mom said they probably feed them to farm animals.

 No.297545

>>297503

In context, yes. As >>297517 is saying, refined sugars offer no mineral or vitamins, dark sugars are slightly better. Sugar increases metabolism, which can also lead to deficiencies quicker if your diet is low nutrient density. In the context of sufficient supportive nutrients they're great.

http://raypeat.com/articles/articles/sugar-issues.shtml

Read all the articles if you have any interest in nutrition. Don't take it as gospel, as everyone is different (see Biochemical Individuality), but as a counter-point to mainstream nutritional propaganda from the perspective of a PhD Endocrinologist it is great. He destroys a lot of modern myth about nutrition.

Sugar cane is great. We have a huge industry in Australia. Europe mostly uses beets for sugar. The thing about the cane plant is the root structure is something like 6x the height of the plant. It's high in iron, but it's non-heme I believe, so I'm not sure about the absorption. Molasses also contains some copper, which works antagonistically to iron in the body. Some evidence that grey hair is a copper deficiency issue.

a vegan diet is the optimal diet for a NEET or any else really

its

- cheaper than a diet with meat in it. meat and dairy are very expensive to produce, compared to vegetables

- vegans have the lowest body fat% out of any dietary group, including pescotarians, vegetarians and non-vegans

- its great for all kinds of health issues such as heart problems, organ problems, artery problems, and depression

- its morally superior, just that simple. it feels great sitting on a high horse being morally superior to non-vegans and being objectively correct. its like non-slave owners talking to slave owners back when slavery was legal and being smug about their moral superiority

- vegans are more empathetic and compassionate than non-vegans and the parts of the brain that is associated with empathy is simply larger on average in vegans

https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/animal-emotions/201207/brain-scans-show-vegetarians-more-empathic-omnivores

- jesus was a vegan. in the gospels of the ebionites and the gospel of the nazarines jesus was a vegan. these gospels came before our 4 gospels in the bible, they were the gospels of the absolute OLDEST christian denominations, the ebionites and nazarenes

its super cheap and super easy and super healthy. i just buy tons of cheap canned beans that i get delivered to my house, 100$ buys me a good 60 of these beans alongside pastas and sauces and other perifaries. being vegan it just better

another benefit of a vegan diet that i should mention and discuss is it makes you spiritually purer and makes you less of a hypocrite

its really interesting talking about this subject in r9k out of all places. usually when veganism is discussed is in the presence of non-virgins, whore roasties who to tons of sinning, basically shit tier people

but with r9k we have a collection of virigns, losers, basically people at the bottom of the barrel of society who arguably haven't harmed anyone, and in gods are the ones "purer" than the non-virgin normie collective. but these virgins are hypocrites to some degree if they complain about their shit lot in life, because needlessly abuse animals for no other reason because they enjoy it, yet have the nerve to complain. its very hard to take the opinions and complaints of a hypocrite seriously

so if you believe in god or some kind of afterlife judgment, consider being a vegan because it basically spiritually elevates you in terms of righteousness. the ebionites and the essenes (who wrote the dead sea scrolls) were vegan. you wont have to hear "why are you complaining about your bad life when you do the same or worse unto animals who you murder for your amusement"

and the thing is, you simply DO NOT need to eat animals in the slightest to achieve optimal health. for b12 you can just take a supplement, thats it. meat is simply not necessary, the only reason why people eat it is for pleasure and amusement. the animal lives a tortured shit existence for your pleasure, thats what it boils down to. heres a picture of force fed ducks so weak they cant defend themselves against rats, who eat them ALIVE. the ducks are so weak they just let it happen. this the standard living condition for practically all industrial farm animal

>I want to see if hes fat or not

when i originally went vegan back in 2016 i did it for 6-12~ months and i lost like 50 pounds. i was 220 pounds when i started and ended up at 170. this was just a plain vegan diet back when i had my balls and hormone profile. when i cut my balls off i remember i was 185 pounds, and today im 200 pounds

after i became a eunuch i actually gained like 25~ pounds, i went up to 210 ish, because i was eating tons of vegan chocolates and cookies and chocolate wafers and stuff. basically there was tons of junk food but it was just vegan. also the precipitous drop in blood testosterone im sure made an impact in that. i ate like a pig in 2017 and didnt watch any of my diet and still lost massive amounts of weight, but doing that is harder when you have the hormone profile of a prepubecent female, and i got blood tests showing i have a childlike test profile

not to mention, just because i am fat doesnt mean a vegan diet isnt great for weight loss. im sure theres tons of meat eaters who are very skinny, but it still doesnt invalidate meat as a high risk factor for obesity, heart disease and cancer. im sure theres tons of fat vegans who eat tons of junk food, but the incidence of them is simply LOWER. vegans are usually very skinny. not to mention ive only been on a vegan diet for all of 2018 and some of 2017

>cheaper than a diet with meat in it.

Not an argument.

>its great for all kinds of health issues such as heart problems, organ problems, artery problems, and depression

So is keto.

>vegans have the lowest body fat% out of any dietary group, including pescotarians, vegetarians and non-vegans

They also have the lowest body mass. aka soy boys.

>its morally superior,

Only if you're a christcuck. The Lord of the Hunt disagrees.

>jesus was a vegan.

Kike on a stick, mutt on a strut, etc. If you want to worship a dead kike then you're a mentally stunted shabbos goi.

>(again) it's super cheap

>i just buy tons of cheap shit

>$100 buys me tons of cheap shit food

>being vegan is just better (cheaper)

Your true motivation is clear. You're a poorfag, and there's nothing wrong with that. You want to save moneye which is understandable. But that does not make your diet superior to actual human dietary needs.

>eunuch-kike is back again

Reminder that kikes like you will all be exterminated one day.

And all posts you make are derailing because you go out of your way to have an especially unique(ly retarded) posting style.

Sage for doublepost, but Jesus wasn't a fucking vegan. That's the stupidest shit I've heard in my life.

Not to mention all those sacrifices his dad asked for in the OT… Just so he could smell them.

I've got myself enough motivation and made three fried eggs and some sliced sauerkraut on the side. Then after eating it I noticed I feel more alive than usual . (I usually binge on junkfood cause my father keeps buying it when he's home. It tastes good, but it makes me feel horrible afterwards). So I made three more eggs with some sauerkraut on the side, and ate them again.

>cause my father keeps buying it when he's home.

I know that feel. I'm trying to control my diet, but every time a holiday or some shit comes around, my Mom gets this weird notion that I need 10 pounds of chocolate and sugar which she expects I will eat quickly. I end up feeling like a dick because I just let that shit sit around until it goes bad, or it ends up crammed into the back of the freezer when I get that odd craving for one small chunk of chocolate.

Same boat. Mom rides my ass for being a fat shit but keeps feeding me garbage and gets offended if I don't eat it.

 No.297681

Well, this was a cumfy thread before it got derailed by a rat from the death cult. Totally going to take advice from someone who thinks veganism is fine, but you need to supplement. Your retarded diet is only possible with modern medical intervention, but you cite scripture? I think the brain damage is more severe than you're aware of yet.

That's a unique way of describing the eunuch.
