I've nothing to do and it's 5:45 am and my mind is preoccupied and therefore I cannot sleep.

I'm going to make a music thread. There's already a bandcamp thread however this can just be for the discussion of music in general. I'll bump with some of my favorite songs.

Video related is a cover sung by Jeff Mangum (of Neutral Milk Hotel) of a song originally sung by the Paris Sisters, if I'm recall properly. I've been obsessed with this song for quite some time for some reason.

I've always enjoyed his voice probably the reason I know all of the lyrics to In The Aeroplane Over the Sea and the lyrics just are really touching. They're plain and simple and could be spoken by anyone, regardless of their gender or age or anything and I just love it. It gives me feels.

Caminar..caminar, what is it…. they're doing some form of verb by the street.

Oh, they're walking through the street? Hm. I dunno what they're saying past that but it sounds alright haha!

>>1509
Because he can pull it off, probably, hahaha. I've always found Gotye as an alright band since I'm not really that into their tune, however this one is probably my favorite song that I've heard from them.

>>1510
Listened to it previously with you I think hahaha. I read the lyrics and they're very beautiful! I really like this song as well. You're changing my opinion of them haha.
>that hand holding at the end

Pretty and relaxing, not too shabby.

>>1512
I don't have many love songs either, haha, I really need to find more tbh.
I could see this being a song where I attempt to sing it and sound p. good until the chorus hits hahaha

>>1513
This guy kinda looks like a tall version of Bilbo Baggins combined with Neil Patrick Harris hahaha. This song is better than the last one imho.

>>1514
Yeee it takes a special song to make me feel. Sting doesn't seem too feelsy.

>>1515
Mmhh…not sure how I feel about this one.

>>1517
>>1516
I really do like this guys songs man, he's on my "to listen" list.

I think that most of my songs are like, really obscure feels, so I should probably just post the feels rather than grouping them all in a certain, broad label such as "love songs."

This one is
>tfw no qt gf/bf to slowly grow crazy with and lay in bed under the influence, shutting out everything in the world and just letting the psychosis happen together out of love

 No.1597

YouTube embed. Click thumbnail to play.
This one is
>tfw girl of your dreams is unavailable so you try to settle for less and you get rejected by the grill you try to go for. You're so frustrated that you want to pay someone to attack her but alas you can't, you don't even know why you're so upset since she's not the girl of your dreams.

This one is kind of the epitome of teenage girl song that Sage actually showed me (she said she was going to a concert and wanted to take me to my first one. Not sure if I should go and waste my first time on an artist I don't even know and feel is mediocre.) It was definitely an acquired taste but I actually like it a lot because even though it's super pleb shit it actually pretty much described me kinda spot on, ha. Lots of relateable feels that nobody else will probably understand, since, yknow, they're all generic edgy teen feels.

>tfw wanting to be like other teenagers and act normal, going to parties and such but too conservative. But instead of doing normal teenager things, you're an edgy, depressed shit that goes against religion, feels ugly and loses innocence (virginity), etc. etc. etc.

Pretty much every line hits home weirdly enough.

Autphag would appreciate the "I wish I wasn't such a narcissist" bit, I'm sure. Hahah.

>tfw you've been wronged by someone and hold so much anger and vengeance that you want to do every horrible thing imaginable you can just to crush them.
>Cognitive dissonance struggle between vengeance and being a better person

These feels are not solely limited to relationships, either

This one is kinda silly

>tfw you're waifu/husbando is cheating on you so you grab two of your best buds, put on masks, equip weapons and beat the shit out of them with blunt objects after catching the cheaters in the act.

This one actually always makes me tear up my eyes are watering a bit as I'm typing this. It's from the beautiful movie Death Sentence, if you haven't seen it then I'm not going to spoil the movie for you as I'd recommend it to anyone and have watched it probably around 6-7 times.

It's a fantastic song that appears right towards the ending.

>tfw losing someone you love.

 No.1603

Somehow this always happens. I really get into my music and suddenly it goes from happy to just sad feels and tears.

Bon Iver - I can't make you love me

>tfw in a relationship where you're the only one in love and you know that your significant other is staying with you for reasons besides love but they won't admit it.

>tfw you love them so much that you have to let them go since you can't make them love you and you have to let them go.
>tfw spending that last night with them, knowing things will never be the same.

;_;

"I'll close my eyes and then I won't see the love you don't feel when you're holding me. Morning will come and I'll do what's right, just give me 'til then to give up this fight…."

>tfw watching the person you love die a slow, painful death from cancer.

 No.1605

This one actually made me tear up after listening to it. It's a story and you have to listen to the entire thing to understand because it's not initially what you think it is….

>tfw distrusting the person who loves you most

Keep still so I can find you at your whim.
Breathe slowly so I can breathe with you.
Ooh… ooh…

Leave me alone,
We all want to feel at home.
Find me sleeping,
My inner dialogue's a drone.
Keep…

Don't cry for me,
I can't either.
I can't weep.
Remember these moments,
They're all we have
And all I can keep.
Caught in a lie I want
You to keep me to yourself.

Keep running deep under my skin I want to shed.
Don't keep it in keep it on the thinnest of all threads-
And I want to break you no no…
Ooh…

>Most of your music I could probably listen to while falling asleep tbh. It's very relaxing.
I do this a lot, hence why a lot of my music is geared towards falling asleep to.

>>1596
>This guy kinda looks like a tall version of Bilbo Baggins combined with Neil Patrick Harris hahaha.
:o I didn't notice that but you're right haha.

You're right, that is a very obscure feel.
Well I get the social cutting off bit but I wouldn't want to spend all that time in bed when
>most sparsely populated area in Britain
>all that great outdoors with hardly any people
>(he says, typing from his bed)

>>1597
>tfw girl of your dreams is unavailable so you try to settle for less and you get rejected by the grill you try to go for.
iktf fuck you chelsea, too good for me?
didn't want to hire another girl to attack her though, that's a bit of an extreme reaction.

>>1598
maybe you can put a more acceptable spin on it through your own experiences, but i really didn't like that song, it's full on red flag territory.

>>1599
>These feels are not solely limited to relationships, either
of course.
probably one of my favourite of the ones you've posted so far.

>>1600
damn, you're big on revenge fantasies…
that's not beating the shit out of them, they're literally killing them. i wouldn't hit someone with a splitting maul just to rough em up a bit

>>1601
that movie doesn't seem to be highly rated but i'll take your word for it haha. i've enjoyed films with just as dismal ratings.

>>1603
mu's overhyping of Bon Iver put me off listening to much of them but that's a good song.

>you know that your significant other is staying with you for reasons besides love

apart from your mum's unfortunate experience, do you have irl experience with those feels?

>>1604
that's a serious case of obsessing over the what if's, that's almost as bad as i am. why dwell on it unless it actually happens?

the aunt of mine who died of cancer was in my dreams last night.

so were you actually, we were setting up an oil rig in the cromarty firth and you were getting nervous about not understanding UK law about beginning drilling operations with so many boats about and i was like "nahh if that were the case we'd never get any work done because the boat traffic here is so constant, that'd be a silly law"… the cromarty firth isn't actually that busy irl, but it is chock full of oil rigs

>>1605
damn…

>>1606
wait i don't know those feels, what's that about?

>>1607
good song but those feels don't click with me. course, my dad wasn't abusive, but my step-dad was and tbh it was the only time i seriously contemplated killing someone.
as for my father and grandfathers' gross negligence in familial matters, let's say i'd only write them a short eulogy.

>>1608
ok so aside from the revenge fantasies, you're shit scared of cancer ruining your life… guess that's understandable.

>all that great outdoors with hardly any people
I'll come over and we can explore together! What are some qt sites to see in Scotland?

>probably one of my favourite of the ones you've posted so far.

Entry-level /mu/core album by Brand New called The Devil and God are Raging Inside of Me. I rec it 100% and love their albums.

>that movie doesn't seem to be highly rated but i'll take your word for it haha.

THAT'S BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE WRONG. It is a really, really wonderful movie and just attacked me all over in the feels. You definitely must watch it sometime.

>do you have irl experience with those feels?

Hmm. No, I don't think so. I mean I suppose at the end of our relationship, when I found out I was going to move, my first real IRL bf Tom probably stayed with me just for physical reasons, but I would like to think that he was not that much of a dick and that the 6 months we spent together meant something to him.

>why dwell on it unless it actually happens?

H Y P O C R I T E
Lmao. I dwell because I am terrified of cancer man, as you know already. I think it's just because of my fear of death, but cancer seems like the worst way to go. You feel yourself slowly getting weak, slowly dying, having to aggressively fight it that takes all of your strength, your hair falls out and you become bald and weak and shriveled and then suddenly it's gone and you are given some hope and go around spending time with everyone and then you get a "just kidding, it came back even worse" call from the doctor and DIE two weeks later. It's just terrible.

I'm terribly sorry about your aunt. Was it a nice dream at least?

Well of course it was since we were there together, but the part with her in it?

>wait i don't know those feels, what's that about?

I think personally it's about her falling into a very depression and/or is slowly dying. She just feels empty and is talking to her lover as he tries to cover for her and help her.
I could be wrong though.

>but my step-dad was and tbh it was the only time i seriously contemplated killing someone.

That's where the feels came from.

>What are some qt sites to see in Scotland?
I live on the east of Ross-shire. as you travel westwards to the west coast, there's a lot of nice places. also, south-southeast of Inverness is the Cairngorms which are lovely.
But the one place I want to spend more time in is Harris, the more mountainous southernmost part of the largest Island of the Western Isles.

>but the part with her in it?

the thing is the last time I saw my aunt IRL was october 2013. At that time, she knew she was going to die, which is why she was visiting everyone to get closure… but she didn't actually let on that she was dying until after that.
I never saw her after that. for almost 11 months, during which time she became bedridden.
I would have loved to have seen her before she passed.
In my dream, I actually did. I dreamt that I got to speak to her one last time before she parted.

Aw…that really stinks about your aunt. At least she went around and spent some time with you. Perhaps that was her way of seeing you, yknow. Death is shrouded in mystery, nobody knows for certain what happens afterward. She could be out there somewhere, in some other dimension, and contacting you through dreams, you never know! :)

>>1653
I've looked up a bit and I think I'll make a bucket list for places I want to see in Scotland. I plan on traveling to as many countries as possible when I'm older (on vacations and such for like a week or two at a time. I'm definitely going to find somewhere to settle down though, preferably in America or Europe, and live there for the rest of my life, as moving every 6 moths to a year has turned me off from the idea of not having a place to call 'home' when I'm older. However traveling is great, ofc.)

I think I want to see the pretty Holyrood Palace/Edinburgh Castle (I've never seen a castle irl), Mary King's Close, the Kelvingrove Art Gallery/Museum, The Outlook Tower (It apparently is a fun place of illusions), and then the beautiful Highlands and DEFINITELY LOCH NESS (maybe I will see the monster and get eaten alive, it'd be so neat)

I used to only want to go to England and Ireland (s-sorry Scotland and Wales) but now from hearing more about it from you and Autphag it seems like it has lots of interesting places and people :3.

Plus it'd be nice to see men in skirts walking around everywhere (I JEST)
