How do I play online?
Depending on the host we might use GameRanger or the in-game server browser.
For GameRanger: download it (http://www.gameranger.com/), make an account, and check for an 8chan room.
For the server browser: Launch Forgotten Hope, go to Multiplay, update the Internet server list and check for an 8chan server.
Password should be: infv
The game may crash while joining or switching maps, if it does just try connecting again – it should work eventually.
How do I host a game?
For GameRanger: Start the game, switch to the mod in the Custom Game menu, go to Multiplay > Create Game, choose your settings, Start Local.
For the server browser (this will expose your IP): Start Forgotten Hope, go to Multiplay > Create Game, choose your settings, Start Internet,
port forward UDP port 14567 (for the game) and 23000 (if you want your game listed in the public list, else you will have to give out your IP manually).
Current settings we are using for our games:
Game Type: Co-op, Server Name: (include 8chan somewhere), Players: 64, Password: infv, Round Time Limit: 0 (unlimited), Number of Rounds: 1, Spawn Time: 5 seconds,
Game Start Delay: 20 seconds, Tickets: 250%, Friendly Fire: 80%, Axis vs Allied Team Ratio: 1 Axis 2 Allied (can switch, the team players want to be on should lose
4 AI for each player), AI Skills: 100%, and CPU-Time Given to AI: 25%.
Use Forgotten Hope maps (with the FH symbol next to them) or the classes with be broken.
