/radiocontrol/ - Radio Controlled

We're just as obscure to 8chan like Traxxas to aftermarket parts.

This is for questions that don't quite deserve their own thread

/hover/ here, looks like we might have some mutual interests. Radio control is something I'd like to know more about. Maybe we could help one another get more activity?

Definetly.

What do ya propose?

Whoops, forgot the tag.

Your board's interesting, I can see them being made.

It can take a bit of effort to get the board going, I'm wondering if you have enough on radio controlled vehicles to keep it going?

It might be a good idea to make it a bit more generalized since a lot of things could be operated via radio control. Just a suggestion.

I like this board idea either way, it's got potental.

It's a good idea, I'll generalize the board.

Ya know what, you seem trustworthy.

Any preferred user/pass for volunteer?

Did you know that Tesla invented the radio control? It was first demonstrated with a radio controlled boat

Sure. I'll make it now.

Did ye know the Russians used remote control tanks during the Second World War?

I didn't know that, but I read about german radio equipment after looking up a radio controlled tank once.

The Goliath, a German radio controlled tank. The tanks were quite small, being around the size of a large dog. Th Russians had more spectacular displays, having entire full sized tanks being radio controlled.

This is something I found on /kind/ originally (who were kind enough to share) I just switched the board names in the link. This makes it so that you can click it to go to the board which makes things easier. I think you still have to post for it to update the announcement

>>17

Ah, didn't quite know how to do that. Thanks!

I've been going through my pics to see if I could find something to post. I studied electronics and have some experience with it so I looked into diy radio control. That might be good thread material. Have you ever done any diy radio control stuff?

>>19

Sure I have.

I've build a quad copter from scratch, pieced together drift car kits, waded into RC planes, waded into a lake to recover my first and final plane flight, boats, trucks, and more.

If you're still there, I've got some suggestions ;

1. You could maybe get some traffic from cyber, they sometimes talk about radio related stuff and that board seems resonably active

2. A custom skin might help and some random self post activity to jump start the board

>>25

Still here, I'll take those suggestions, loosing time for this between two boards and an old Toyota. I'll link to Cyber.

Shoot, did somebody takeover my board?

Good luck, if somebody has.
