Swedish police have covered up thousands of crimes involving migrants over the past four months, all of which have been classified under a secret ‘291 refugee code’ designation, it has been revealed.

According to a report in Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet, around 5,000 incidents have been kept secret, including 559 cases of violence, 194 assaults, two terror threats and four rapes.

The article explains that the incidents have been covered-up because of a directive from the National Operational Department that any information pertaining to the behavior of “refugees” be censored.

Official sources blamed the violence on “traumatized people” being kept in “overcrowded places,” with NOA commander Thomas Wallberg adding that it was “sad” the information wasn’t made available to the public.

Wallberg also “told the newspaper that there are even more incidents than the Swedish newspaper has (not) been given access to,” reports Speisa.

Police have also been ordered not to reveal how much resources they have used to deal with refugees entering Sweden, with one officer telling Dagens Nyheter that the secret code was “absolutely ridiculous.”

Last month, Svenska Dagbladet also reported on a directive that police were not to give descriptions of refugee criminals involved in “everything from minor traffic accidents to serious crimes like robbery, abuse and murder” so as not to appear “racist.”

However, accusations of Swedish police covering up crimes linked to migrants stretch back further, with details of the molestation of women by Muslim migrants at a music concert in Stockholm last summer being kept under wraps so as to “avoid an anti-immigrant backlash.”

Can you spot what’s wrong with that quote, from a Reuters piece out today? Here’s the problem: “could soon fall” implies that Aleppo is on the verge of succumbing to enemy forces. It’s not. Iraqi militias are now working with Russian and Iranian forces to crush American-backed rebels [ISIS] in the strategic Syrian city of Aleppo.

At least three Shia militias involved in successful battles against ISIS in Iraq — the Badr Brigade, Kata’ib Hezbollah, and the League of the Righteous — have acknowledged taking casualties in fighting in south and southeast Aleppo province. US defense officials told The Daily Beast that they believe “at least one” unit of the Badr Brigade is fighting in southern Aleppo alongside other Iraqi militia groups. Those groups are backed by Russian airpower and Iranian troops — and all of whom are bolstering President Bashar al Assad’s Syrian Arab Army.

Reports on social media say [ISIS] in Syria are armed with US tanks and small arms they procured on the Iraqi side of the border.

The presence of militias fighting on behalf of Assad is yet another reminder of the tangled alliances that the United States must thread as it pursues seemingly contradictory policies in its battles against the self-proclaimed Islamic State. In Iraq, these Shia militias were battling on behalf of the U.S.-backed government. In Syria, they are fighting against an American-supported rebel coalition that includes forces armed by the CIA.

In other words: The forces the U.S. once counted on to take back Iraq’s cities are the same ones the Russians now are counting on to get Aleppo back.

The failure of the borderless Schengen Area scheme implemented by the European Union has prompted Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg to warn her country will abandoned the Geneva Convention and close the border if Sweden collapses.

Solberg said on Tuesday a border closure and rejection of the EU Schengen Area will be imposed in the “event that it all breaks down, that the flow (of refugees) just comes, and they all end up in Norway, because we are at the top of Europe. Norway is the end point, is not it.”

“We are prepared for the worst,” she said.

The Bar Association in Norway insists the country is bound under “international obligations” to accept migrants without considering their asylum applications.

In October Swedish foreign minister Margot Wallstrom said the tidal wave of immigrants entering the country has destabilized the government and placed an immense burden on its socialist system. In response, the government has looked abroad to borrow money and is now considering hiking taxes on citizens to pay for the influx.

According to Danish historian and author Lars Hedegaard Sweden’s liberal refugee policy has endangered the Scandinavian country. “The final consequence of… Sweden’s immigration policy is that the economy will collapse—because who is going to pay for it all? And economic breakdowns, once they happen, always happen very fast,” he said.

Sweden’s liberal multicultural policies resulted in ethnic conflict and riots in 2015 and 2013.

Thousands of steelworkers and their families have received some disheartening news on the cusp of the holiday season.

Pittsburgh-based U.S. Steel, one of the nation's largest steel producers, said Monday it will temporarily idle operations at its plant in Granite City, Illinois, indefinitely laying off about 2,000 workers.

“You always hear rumors at the mill and most of us knew something was coming,” Randy Jones, 57, a veteran steelworker at Granite City, said. “How hard would it have been to wait until after Thanksgiving?”

The move is the latest sign of the struggling domestic steel industry. In a statement, U.S. Steel blamed the temporary closure on tough market conditions “including fluctuating oil prices, reduced rig counts and associated inventory overhang, depressed steel prices and unfairly traded imports.”

The company sent notices to workers last month warning them it may soon be forced to temporarily idle operations. According to U.S. Steel, the Granite City mill is the “primary flat-roll supplier of the oil and gas industry” – a sector that has sputtered amid sagging oil prices.

In addition to changes in energy markets, domestic steel producers have struggled to compete with an influx of cheaper foreign-produced steel, much of it from China. That country’s recent slowdown threatens to exacerbate problems for American steelmakers, as Chinese policymakers look to boost exports and more steel hits the global market.

Too many are losing too much too fast.

A new study has found the American Dream dead, under apparent delusions of grandeur and with heavy traces of pharmaceuticals and dead tissue debt. Several large tumors were found inside, with the largest connected to student loan.

A rapid decline in upward job opportunities and a contracting wealth gland stunted the Dream, and precluded the inevitable end. It seems that body’s metabolism simply could not keep up with the burden of so many adverse indicators, including decreased blood flow and metastatis throughout various parts of the body politic. Lethargy and idleness contributed towards a loss of strength. The rest was a consequence of chronic debilitation.

Middle-class families, pillar of the American dream, are no longer in the majority, and it’s now official according to the Pew Research Center… Things have been on a downward slide since the deindustrialization of the 1970s, but things have now reached a point of no return.

With the relatively low thresh hold established for being counted as part of the middle class, it is staggering how many people no longer qualify. It shows just how many Americans are becoming poor or increasingly desperate to make ends meet.

It is no surprise either that many Americans who officially qualify for the middle class feel that they are too insecure, financially, to belong to the well-adjusted norm of “middle class” …

This point is not lost on most Americans, but rather a difficulty that nearly everyone seems to be facing right now.

Paying for necessities is becoming rapidly more expensive and costly in housing, food and goods – and that isn’t helping anyone back into the calm waters of a vibrant and healthy middle class.

The world's largest retailer is closing 269 stores, including 154 in the U.S. that includes all of its locations under its smallest-format concept store called Wal-Mart Express. The other big chunk is in its challenging Brazilian market.

The stores being shuttered account for a fraction of the company's 11,000 stores worldwide and less than 1 percent of its global revenue.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. said the store closures will affect 16,000 workers, 10,000 of them in the U.S. Its global workforce is 2.2 million, 1.4 million in the U.S. alone.

Unemployment Likely Around 42 Percent

During his victory speech last night in the New Hampshire Republican primary, Donald Trump exposed what everyone knows but doesn't dare admit: the "phony" unemployment numbers that Obama continues to crow about and The Fed is so focused on….

"Don't believe those phony numbers when you hear 4.9 and 5% unemployment. The number's probably 28%, 29%, as high as 35%, in fact, I even heard recently 42%,"

Despite all the blatant lies by the Obama regime (and Congress) claiming TPP will help create jobs, this just hit the news headlines:

Ohio lost 112,500 jobs in 2015 resulting from the United States' trade deficit with countries that are part of the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement, according to an analysis by the Economic Policy Institute.

That places Ohio sixth, in terms of the percentage of jobs lost to trade with TPP countries, among the 50 states and the District of Columbia ranked in the report released Thursday by the liberal Washington, D.C.-based think tank. The lost jobs represent nearly 2.2 percent of employment in Ohio, according to the analysis.

The total number of lost jobs includes those directly and indirectly impacted by the trade deficit with TPP countries. It also includes the number of jobs EPI says would have been created through the multiplier or "respending" effect had trade with those countries been more balanced.

The Obama Administration says the trade agreement would be good for workers.

"With the TPP, we can rewrite the rules of trade to benefit America's middle class," states whitehouse.gov. "Because if we don't, competitors who don't share our values, like China, will step in to fill that void."

However, the EPI report says the middle class has already been hard hit by "unfairly traded goods from TPP member countries."

5. Keep your vehicles in top working condition and always top them off with fuel

A vehicle does not have to be a shiny new model in order to function well. As a matter of fact, part of “blending in” means you will have an older vehicle but one that is well taken care of.

Here is Washington state, many of us have Subaru’s because they are four-wheel drive and run forever. Have a white Subaru in my State? That is the surest way to hide in plain sight. See what I mean?

6. Take care of home repairs that have been on the deferred maintenance list forever

This one is near and dear. My home was built in 2006 so it is fairly new. On the other hand, it is getting to the point where walls need to be touched up, boards on the porch need to be nailed down, plumbing fixtures need to be checked for leaks, and a lot more.

All of those little things around the house that have been put off may be an mere annoyance now, but down the road? Anything and everything in disrepair can and will come back to haunt you.

7. Learn to cook bulk foods from food storage

In a recent comment, a Backdoor Survival reader took issue with the “store what you eat” mantra of food storage. And in a way she was right but with this twist.

Without question, beans, rice, oats, wheat and the like are going to be the cheapest food storage items out there. Rather than shun them because you don’t eat them now, learn to prepare them in such a way that they become palatable to your family. For very little money, you can store a year’s worth of bulk foods. Perhaps they will not be as tasty as a juicy hamburger, but you will not starve.

8. Make arrangements for alternate living quarters just in case

This is a two way street. If something should happen and you could not live in your home, where would you go? It would be nice to have a reciprocal arrangement with family or friends, even if they are not preppers.

Speaking for myself, I have set up such an arrangement with friends and likewise, have prepared my small home with those things that will be needed in the event my non-Prepper brother and his family needs a place to stay.

9. Learn to become self-entertaining without spending money

Like an old broken record that has a repeating skip, I am again telling you to become self-entertaining.

Learn to enjoy your free time without being dependent upon money, cable-TV, or trips to the shopping mall. Read, ride a bicycle, play cards or board games, dance or go for a hike. There are are way more pursuits to keep you occupied than I can list here, and yet it amazes me how many people can not stand to be by themselves.

As cliché as it may sound, prepping IS overwhelming. Likewise, it is a lifestyle choice that will provide insurance against disruptive and possibly catastrophic events. I find it interesting that whereas the US government promotes preparedness, they tout economic recovery rather than prepping for hard times.

Let us take control of our future and prepare for hard times. They may, or may not occur, but at least we will be ready.

US Fascist Government STILL Spying On Americans, Likely Always Will

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has used a secretive authority to compel Internet and telecommunications firms to hand over customer data including an individual’s complete web browsing history and records of all online purchases, a court filing released Monday shows.

The documents are believed to be the first time the government has provided details of its so-called national security letters, which are used by the FBI to conduct electronic surveillance without court approval.

The filing made public Monday was the result of an 11-year-old legal battle waged by Nicholas Merrill, founder of Calyx Internet Access, a hosted service provider, who refused to comply with a national security letter (NSL) he received in 2004.

Merrill told Reuters the release was significant “because the public deserves to know how the government is gathering information without warrants on Americans who are not even suspected of a crime.”

National security letters have been available as a law enforcement tool since the 1970s, but their frequency and breadth expanded dramatically under the USA Patriot Act, which was passed shortly after the Sept. 11, 2001 false flag attacks.

Late last night, the NY Times broke a very troubling story. Rather than finally putting an end to Executive Order 12333, it appears that President Obama is going to expand the power of it in dangerous ways. We've written about EO 12333 a bunch of times, but for those of you unfamiliar with it, it's an executive order signed by President Reagan that basically gave the NSA pretty free rein to collect signals intelligence outside of the US. Because it's not (technically) about domestic surveillance, what the NSA does under EO 12333 is not subject to Congressional oversight. That is, Congress is mostly as much in the dark as everyone else is on what the NSA is doing overseas. And, as former State Department official John Napier Tye revealed a couple of years ago, for all the talk of domestic surveillance programs revealed by Ed Snowden, the NSA's real power comes almost entirely from 12333.

And it has no limitations. Napier noted that the other programs – things like Section 215 (now morphed into whatever the USA FREEDOM Act allows) and Section 702 – were merely used to "fill in the gaps" not covered by 12333.

And it almost certainly involves both foreign and domestic intelligence. Basically, if any of your data goes outside of US boundaries, the NSA is free to capture it under 12333. Remember those stories of the NSA hacking into datacenters of companies like Google, Yahoo and Microsoft? Those datacenters were in Singapore. And the reason the target was Singapore rather than the US, was because of 12333.

Meanwhile, the NSA likes to insist that it respects the privacy of Americans thanks to its vast minimization program that is supposed to dump inappropriate data on Americans, or in stripping out private information when sharing data with other agencies.

The U.S. Treasury bonds that the Federal Reserve receives in exchange for the money it has created out of nothing are auctioned off through the Federal Reserve system.

But wait.

There is a problem.

Because the U.S. government must pay interest on the Treasury bonds, the amount of debt that has been created by this transaction is greater than the amount of money that has been created.

So where will the U.S. government get the money to pay that debt?

Well, the theory is that we can get money to circulate through the economy really, really fast and tax it at a high enough rate that the government will be able to collect enough taxes to pay the debt.

But that never actually happens, does it?

And the creators of the Federal Reserve understood this as well. They understood that the U.S. government would not have enough money to both run the government and service the national debt. They knew that the U.S. government would have to keep borrowing even more money in an attempt to keep up with the game.

#72 Of course the U.S. government could actually create money and spend it directly into the economy without the Federal Reserve being involved at all. But then we wouldn’t be 17 trillion dollars in debt and that wouldn’t serve the interests of the bankers at all.

During the Vietnam war era, Ayers championed black civil rights and he and Dohrn further chastised white society for their treatment of blacks. Russia will ask permission on Monday to start flying surveillance planes equipped with high-powered digital cameras amid warnings from U.S. intelligence and military officials that such overflights help Moscow collect intelligence on the United States.

Russia and the United States are signatories to the Open Skies Treaty, which allows unarmed observation flights over the entire territory of all 34 member nations to foster transparency about military activity and HELP MONITOR ARMS CONTROL and other agreements.

Senior intelligence and military officials, however, worry that Russia is taking advantage of technological advances to violate the spirit of the treaty.

Russia will formally ask the Open Skies Consultative Commission, based in Vienna, to be allowed to fly an aircraft equipped with high-tech sensors over the United States, according to a senior congressional staffer, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the staff member wasn't authorized to discuss the issue publicly.

The request will put the Obama regime in the position of having to decide whether to let Russia use the high-powered equipment on its surveillance planes at a time when Moscow, according to the latest State Department compliance report, is failing to meet all its obligations under the treaty. And it comes at one of the most tension-filled times in U.S.-Russia relations since the end of the Cold War, with the two countries at odds over Russian activity in Ukraine and Syria.

The Chicago Stock Exchange said a Chinese investor group agreed to acquire it, giving the buyer entry into the intensely competitive U.S. equity market.

Chongqing Casin Enterprise Group has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the company, according to a statement Friday, which didn’t give financial terms. The exchange said the deal is expected to close in the second half of the year, though that will require regulatory approval.

“We’re a good fit. Our strategy is something they like and is consistent with theirs,” Chicago Stock Exchange Chief Executive Officer John Kerin said in a phone interview. “We provide technology and we’re a standalone, full-service exchange that they can grow in a manner that suits their needs.”

The Chicago Stock Exchange – a subsidiary of CHX Holdings Inc. – is minority-owned by a group including E*Trade Financial Corp., Bank of America Corp., Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and JPMorgan Chase & Co., according to the company. The minority shareholders are also selling their stake, Kerin said.

The acquisition would be the first of a U.S. exchange by a Chinese company. The 134-year-old bourse, which handles about 0.5 percent of U.S. stock trading, would give the buyer a beachhead in the $22 trillion American equity market, where regulations require trades to be routed to whichever exchange has the best price for a stock at a given moment.

Sales of stocks exchanges, which tend to be national symbols, have faced political objections in the past. When Germany’s Deutsche Boerse AG wanted to buy the owner of the New York Stock Exchange in 2011, U.S. Senator Charles Schumer, a Democrat from New York, raised obstacles. Singapore’s stock exchange tried to buy Australia’s in 2010, but the Australian government barred that from happening.

American shale drillers have closed two-thirds of all the country’s oil rigs; TASS quotes the head of France’s Total Patrick Pouyanne.

"Since March 2015 we are witnessing a decline in oil shale output in the United States, which has been reduced by 500,000 barrels per day. We don’t know how fast it will fall but we know that two-thirds of drilling rigs is no more working there," Pouyanne said on Thursday at the International Petroleum Week forum.

Oversupply of oil on the global market amounts to two percent according to Pouyanne, and the price of it is now impossible to predict.

"The price of oil is unstable right now; it can stand at $40 a barrel today and reach $80 a barrel tomorrow…," said Total’s CEO.

The price of shale oil on the US market has fallen by two-thirds while production by 15 percent, according to the head of Russia’s Rosneft Igor Sechin. “Shale oil production in the United States will decline in the long-term and reach bottom by 2020,” Sechin said.

If you are an investor, this may be the time to have a serious talk with the face you see in the mirror and ask: Have we really moved on from the ‘barbarous relic’? Can paper money keep its value when all the Central Bankers and planners in the world are intent upon printing as much of it as they possibly can? Is it different this time?

Who needs paper, you say? Now we have electronic money, bits and photons flashing across our screens, capable of leaping vast oceans at a single bound. That is different. Chinese companies have been buying up foreign businesses, including American ones, at a record rate, and it's freaking lawmakers out.

There is General Electric's sale of its appliance business to Qingdao-based Haier, Zoomlion's bid for the heavy-lifting-equipment maker Terex Corp., and ChemChina's record-breaking deal for the Swiss seeds and pesticides group Syngenta, valued at $48 billion.

Most recently, a unit of the Chinese conglomerate HNA Group said it would buy the technology distributor Ingram Micro for $6 billion.

And the most contentious deal so far might be the Chinese-led investor group Chongqing Casin Enterprise's bid for the Chicago Stock Exchange.

To date, there have been 102 Chinese outbound mergers-and-acquisitions deals announced this year, amounting to $81.6 billion in value, according to Dealogic. That's up from 72 deals worth $11 billion in the same period last year.

And they're not expected to let up anytime soon. Slow economic growth in China and cheap prices abroad due to the stock market's recent sell-off suggest the opposite.

"With the slowdown of the economy, Chinese corporates are increasingly looking to inorganic avenues to supplement their growth," Vikas Seth, head of emerging markets in the investment-banking and capital-markets department at Credit Suisse, told Business Insider earlier this month.

Forty-five members of Congress this week signed a letter to the Treasury Department's Committee on Foreign Investment in the US, or CFIUS, urging it to conduct a "full and rigorous investigation" of the Chicago Stock Exchange acquisition.

"This proposed acquisition would be the first time a Chinese-owned, possibly state-influenced, firm maintained direct access into the $22 trillion US equity marketplace," the letter reads.

Studying rare cases of defective Shank3 can help scientists gain insight into the neurobiological mechanisms of autism. Missing or defective Shank3 leads to synaptic disruptions that can produce autism-like symptoms in mice, including compulsive behavior, avoidance of social interaction, and anxiety, Feng has previously found. He has also shown that some synapses in these mice, especially in a part of the brain called the striatum, have a greatly reduced density of dendritic spines—small buds on neurons' surfaces that help with the transmission of synaptic signals.

In the new study, Feng and colleagues genetically engineered mice so that their Shank3 gene was turned off during embryonic development but could be turned back on by adding tamoxifen to the mice's diet.

When the researchers turned on Shank3 in young adult mice (two to four and a half months after birth), they were able to eliminate the mice's repetitive behavior and their tendency to avoid social interaction. At the cellular level, the team found that the density of dendritic spines dramatically increased in the striatum of treated mice, demonstrating the structural plasticity in the adult brain.

However, the mice's anxiety and some motor coordination symptoms did not disappear. Feng suspects that these behaviors probably rely on circuits that were irreversibly formed during early development.

When the researchers turned on Shank3 earlier in life, only 20 days after birth, the mice's anxiety and motor coordination did improve. The researchers are now working on defining the critical periods for the formation of these circuits, which could help them determine the best time to try to intervene.

"Some circuits are more plastic than others," Feng says. "Once we understand which circuits control each behavior and understand what exactly changed at the structural level, we can study what leads to these permanent defects, and how we can prevent them from happening."

Early intervention

For the small population of people with Shank3 mutations, the findings suggest that new genome-editing techniques could in theory be used to repair the defective Shank3 gene and improve these individuals' symptoms, even later in life. These techniques are not yet ready for use in humans, however.

Feng believes that scientists may also be able to develop more general approaches that would apply to a larger population. For example, if the researchers can identify defective circuits that are specific for certain behavioral abnormalities in some autism patients, and figure out how to modulate those circuits' activity, that could also help other people who may have defects in the same circuits even though the problem arose from a different genetic mutation.

"That's why it's important in the future to identify what subtype of neurons are defective and what genes are expressed in these neurons, so we can use them as a target without affecting the whole brain," Feng says.

The federal government is seeking to create a new fascist bureaucracy that would intervene in family life and could even see state-appointed monitors conduct routine home visits to assess a child’s well-being.

The U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has published a draft document which outlines a plan that will treat families as “equal partners” in the raising of children, opening the door for government intrusion at all levels.

The paper describes how government employees will intervene to provide, “monitoring goals for the children at home and the classroom,” and that if parents are failing to meet the standards set, “evidence-based parenting interventions” will be made to, “ensure that children’s social-emotional and behavioral needs are met.”

The document reveals how the state will help oversee, “constant monitoring and communication regarding children’s social-emotional and behavioral health.”

The program bears the hallmarks of a controversial scheme in Scotland, set to take effect later this year, under which a “shadow parent” appointed by the government would monitor the upbringing of every child until the age of 18.
