/rec/ - Anime & Manga Recommendations

Astarotte no Omocha! - The anime is less ecchi than the manga but should still do the trick as you appear to enjoy lolis.

Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? - Along with Non Non Biyori it's one of the higher-quality and more recent "Cute Girls Doing Cute Things" anime, and although the second season would still be a ways off, it has been greenlit.

Kiniro Mosaic - As with NNB and GochiUsa, it's a comfy show with an upcoming second season.

High School DxD - Great fanservice and lots of it, a fairly decent story especially for a harem franchise, plus it already has two seasons with a third one on the way.

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha franchise - The less edgy yet still not light and fluffy forerunner to Madoka. Although it borrows heavily from the Mecha genre which you dislike, I've long been sick and tired of Mecha myself yet still enjoyed this immensely. The first season starts out a bit bland but gets better, second season (A's) is fantastic, third season (StrikerS) is somewhat entertaining on its own terms but has a much different take on things. The movies have better animation plus lolinipples, but the second one doesn't entirely cover the full plot of the corresponding TV series. There's also a third movie and a spinoff TV series in the works.

Senki Zesshou Symphogear - Depending on one's tastes, it's either a hilariously awful trainwreck, or a delightfully campy love letter to an assortment of vintage anime ranging in type from apocalyptic sci-fi to magical idols. Has two seasons so far, and a third one is confirmed.

Order is a rabbit, NNB, and Golden mosaic are already on my list. I'm on the fence about astarotte, and I'm not really a big fan of harem stuff. Thanks for the thoughts though!

Ah, I only saw that you were watching NNB which is what I was basing the other two on. As for High School DxD, even though it is a harem, it's one of the very few which have earned some respect outside of that genre's usual fans, so it still might be worth considering. Anyway, you're welcome, and hopefully a few more will come to mind soon.

As far as I know, there are only three shotacon anime: Pico trilogy, Natsuyasumi, and the third one with extremely forgettable title. When there's so few of them, you gotta appreciate them. When the "meme" started, there were many real perverts on /a/, who genuinely liked shotacon. So it became a default recommendation and a newfag/normie filter: if you watch Pico and like it, you're one of us, if you don't like it and consider it "trolling", you're not one of us, you're just a normalfag.

Later various redditors and god knows who else, picked it up as a joke, without any understanding of its real purpose. So when you see it being recommended now, especially outside of imageboards, that's normalfags trying to be funny. When you see it on imageboards, most people here actually, seriously like it.

So if you have even the slightest passing interest in traps, or shota, or even simple dickgirls - watch Pico, and you may find yourself liking it too.
