This board is way better than /a/, also what the fuck is with /a/'s elitist autism. Discuss. Also i recommended Welcome To The NHK, go watch it , its great.

I don't know. /a/ reminds me too much of halfchan's /a/ and I never really liked that board.
>>>/am/ looks alright so far. I don't think it will ever be as popular as /a/ but it could become a decent alternative board for anime/manga discussion if it's able to maintain a regular userbase.

Any anime-themed discussion board, which mainly talks about ongoings, and entry-level shows of the last 10 years, will remain a close-stool. Any board which has majority of posts shorter than 5 sentences, will remain a close-stool.

This statement is true both for /a/ and /am/. If you want to have a proper userbase, create a proper environment. Post your thoughts about older/unpopular anime first and foremost. Currently, both of the boards encourage newfaggotry. And in both cases this is a fault of the users, including personally you.

NHK is my absolute favorite. I actually came here to look for a rec(for something more matured and less idealistic) , anyone?

Nah, we may disagree in this but mods should only delete spam and illegal content.
Other than that users should self-moderate and create the environment they want to post in.
When people start to build hugboxes enforcing subjective rules it's when things start to go downhill.

Something mature? I'm not quite sure if you can call it that, but try Kino no Tabi or Shigofumi. They're a lot more subdued and calm.

You should be more specific than that, but I'd say you should try out Kaiji, which is probably my all time favorite. Even the art isn't as ideal as most anime tends to aim for.

Yeah, maybe I didn't express myself properly. It's just I got tired of high school dramas and was looking for a more matured perspective on life

Thank you both for the recs. I'll check those out.
