I'm not a weeb and don't normally like anime much . (I don't get the humor , feel many characters are obnoxious, think sometimes the pacing is too slow or they talk for forever.)

But I really loved Cowboy bebop and I love how he played with the music and made movie references.
Is his other stuff this good?

Sure, check it out. Most anime, I watch a few episodes and loose interest. But Watanabe's stuff, I watch to the end.
