Ok been wanting to watch ghost in the shell for a while now and just now realizing that there are like so many things to choose. In which order do I watch?

Stand Alone Complex

Arise - Alternative Architecture

Doesn't matter what order as long as you understand there are different versions or "universes".

Ghost in the Shell (1995) and Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence take place in the same universe, but Standalone Complex is a different universe. I'm not sure because I haven't seen it yet, but I think Arise takes place in the same universe as the first two GITS movies, while the new one airing right now is in a different universe.
