I'm looking for some television shows and movies that are similar to Paranoia Agent, thematically or stylistically.

Here are a few examples of the ones that I checked out:

TV shows: Twin Peaks, Mr. Robot, The Prisoner (both the remake and the original), and Serial Experiment Lain

Movies: Fight Club, Satoshi Kon's other works and a few of Hayao Miyazaki's films

Parasyte perhaps? There's psychological elements at least, it's Invasion of the body snatchers the anime.

For something similar to Lain, Texhnolyze. From the same team as it and Haibane Renmei.

And of course Perfect Blue and Paprika.
