So, what's the best cheapos~ option to read manga on the go ?

I guess the major problem with e-readers is that you don't get the colors from the covers and inserts.

I looked into tablets, and by the size of a manga which is about 8 or 9 inches I guess it's best to choose a tablet of at least 8"

But what about screen quality, IPS, TN, resolution etc. ?

I have no clue if it changes anything when reading manga or not.

The tablet wouldn't be used for anything else, it would only serve to read manga while in bed or on the train, maybe some occasional anime watching.

So has anyone experience with this and could help me choose a proper device, maximum around 200 bucks ?

Also, using a specific app, or just visiting an online reading website ?

I would buy the stream 7. 7inch ips 800x1280 screen. My younger siblings got one and it's pretty good, doesn't lag on anything and plays back anime without a problem (I don't know about 10bit 1080p though). I would get it solely because it's x86 windows for $100. It's cheap as hell and there's nothing to compete with it at that level. It's also just windows so you don't have to go jumping through hoops to get manga on it.

My only complaint against it that it gets some visible light bleed (IPS screens tend to do that even $1000 monitors), but it should be fine with manga cuz the borders are white and shouldn't ruin the color.

You convinced me, sadly it's impossible to buy currently, at least in France and major european sites.

I'm looking into alternatives, good idea about windows though.

I got lucky and found a used Stream 7 for sale near me.

Cleaned it, and after many tries I settled for palemoon + manga onlineviewer

could be better, but it works

Isn't the battery a problem?
