Any other comedy series like this? Something that spends less time setting up jokes compared to the relentless punchlines.

Hey anon, have you tried reading Wakabayashi's other new series Boku wa Ohime sama ni Narenai? It's pretty funny and a guaranteed hit with you.

Dumbire A.K.A. Jitsu wa Watashi wa (the manga, though the anime was decent enough but it just doesn't compare on the reaction faces) is the latest manga that made be burst into laughter while being a bit touching at the same time.

Also, TWGOK A.K.A. Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai had a strong first half with some pretty funny stuff thrown in for good measure.

Apart from that, I'll check some of my past reads and see if I got anything else for you.

The problem with the manga and LN is that no one translates those, and even if they did it's just the events of the anime in cronological order IIRC. Still, it's always worth a laugh.

If you enjoy black humor you can give Dorohedoro a try, it's breddy great though it's mostly laughing at lethal injuries that somehow manage to not kill people. When they do it's srs bsnss until they manage to revive them.

Aight OP, here's some last recs before I go to sleep:

First the mainstream duo, Hayate no Gotoku and Gintama. You're probably familiar with them so I won't dwelve, but just in case, right?

Nichijou, + Tic Nee-san and Danshi ni Koukousei no Nichijou go all out on the jokes based in a school life scenario.

D-frag and Maousama Chotto Sore Totte!, both by Haruno Tomoya are the best in tsukkomi based comedy.

Prison School has some pretty amazing shit that sets it apart from the rest, like Masochist Economics (crash comes as no surprise) and Medusas.

Dagashi Kashi which is a series of introductory chapters about japanese candy filled with snark (by MC) and trolling (By his dad and the heroine).

And lastly there's Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei A.K.A. I Could Not, For The Love Of Me, Stop Laughing Thus I Fell In Despair
