Tenchi Muyo in Love OVA for comfy and dat soundtrack. Also, English DUB has a special place in my heart due to reasons and thus I endorse it. Plus some powerful lines are delivered better in English, as incredible as that sounds.
Scrapped Princess for comfydrama, also great soundtrack (works great for marathons).
Mahou Tsukai Tai is pretty comfy, especially the TV series while the OVA is more actiony.
Haibane Renmei has some comfyness.
5cm per second is comfy if the feels don't destroy you.
Girl who leapt through time also.
Tokyo Godfathers is a definite comfy one.
Studio Ghiblis Ponyo, too, but beware, it really is for children and thus the resolution is a bit shitty/handwaved.
Hidamari Sketch is definetely comfy.
Card Captor Sakura works.
So does Tenshi Ni Narumon.
The Studio 4C Sweatpunch series is kinda comfy, or at least it's easy watching and kinda unique.
Kino no Tabi/Kinos Travels is comfy but it has some 'real' shit.
Kokoro Library is comfy, if you can stand it. I couldn't, it's just too sickeningly sweet, but maybe you can.
Atashin'chi, if you manage to get your hands on it, cause it's quite old.
Di Gi Charat is comfy/funny.
Seirei no Moribito and Juuni Kokuki both are immersive and have comfiness but they're also serious and all that. Still, I recommend both.
The former being more straight and realistic with very little (but great) action the latter being fantasy and great soundtrack and world building.
First few episodes are iffy, though, tough through them for a great show.
The moomin OVAs, they're anime.
Sasameki Koto for some tasteful lesbo action, if you so prefer.
Pretty good soundtrack, too.
Maybe children who chase voices from below?
Give it a try, it's a bit sappy and all that but it's scenery porn.
Too sleepy to think of more.
