Can anyone recommend me a manga about a psychological and maybe dark story? Preferably a one-shot that I can buy, I'm not really wanting to go down the route of reading an entire series, just something to enjoy in one sitting. Thanks.

As I'm sure you can imagine, good psychological is hard to satisfy with a chapter restriction. There's plenty of longer stuff like Freesia that you'd be more than happy with.
