I'm more surprised that the SVU / level up meme as a whole has been forgotten than that this board died. I really believed in this board for the week or so it was in the top 25, but it was going to go away fast, I saw that coming. It's based on a single crappy episode of a single crappy TV show, and I think the lowest common denominator of people saw that it was nothing really that special / worth making fun of to begin with, just by virtue of how shit the source material was.
What does surprise me though is that the whole thing has just been straight up forgotten. The redchanit debacle and all the memes associated with it were a deeply personal, highly publicized and massively blundered attack on our collective identity, not just as 8channers or gaymergayters but as gamers and, more importantly, channers. People are still quoting the infamous "Internet hate machine" news story nearly a decade after it happened, and that was just a shitty two-minute local news report. So why aren't they still quoting stuff from this, a full length episode of a well known TV series that's full of badly acted and bizzarely conceived misconceptions about gaming and the chan way of life?
Hell, I bet I could post some of my Level Up folder on /v/ or elsewhere and newfags wouldn't even know what it was. Especially cuckchan's /v/.
Oh well, more dank memes for me to enjoy on my own I guess.
