On average, how big should these usb's be? The ones with enough space for substantial amounts of information are noticeably more expensive than the shitty little ones that barely cost anything but barely hold anything besides a couple of short mp4 files.

What's the budget on a single set of redpills? what would a weekly, monthly, and yearly budget be for the red pills?

7c91a2 No.262

You can 4GB for about 5 dollars, 2GB for about 2 - 3 dollars, and 1GB for mere pennies. For some strange reason, 512MB is a bit more expensive so 1 or 2 GB should be our weapon of choice.

So how many pills per box? if it's 2 gigs, that means, say, ten are 20 to 30 bucks already, 30 pills are 60 to 90 bucks, 50 pills are 100 to 150 bucks, and 100 pills are 200 to 300 bucks. Considering how few 100 pills are in the context of a city, it'd get very pricey even in the lower gigs. Not to mention that a good portion of them have a quantifiable chance of getting damaged by weather, picked up as garbage if unattended, and potentially removed after some shill realizes what it is.

Unless we put actual videos on the sticks, I wouldn't fret about it. 1GB would be more than enough. You'd need a hell of a lot of infographics and pictures to fill it up.

Let's wait and see our resident redpiller compact his archive and see how big that is. That should give us a good idea.

I was thinking that 1 GB should be fine. Also it would be cheap, and many here, including myself, are poor.

Unless you just buy them a little at a time. Buy the USBs in small batches and it'll add up over time. Plus, I would say to look around at local shops and buy some with cash. Frankly, with how much information there is, we're going to need a lot of space. So getting the bigger drives would be a better option as it would allow us to offer a vast library of information.

I thought the information wouldn't be saved on the drives themselves, though.

I'm talking about the junk drives. Not HDDs.

I have a shit ton of DVD-R ,DVD-WR and blank clear plastic cases for it, is possible for me to use it instead of buying a bulk of flash drives?

909930 No.888

I think that's fine, as long as the people in your area are susceptible to the format.

You might as well test it with a few, but I expect it to be less viable. People don't want cds because

A: they're more fragile

and

B: DVD-R most people by now know isnt WR, some people may be grabbing these drives because "hey, free thumb drive!" and don't expect the potential that some of these thumb drives we are pricing out from china are only R and not WR.

My local dollar store has 1 GB USB s for $3 each, which is alright in the short term, but it's going to add up, especially since the drives probably won't be used more than once if at all. Of course, if the truth reaches even one person, it's worth it. I'm just poor.

Alibaba has 2 gig flash drives for around 60 cents. Very hard to beat that.

Be careful buying cheap USB sticks, China is known for faking the storage size. What happens when the storage size is fake is that the data will loop around and overwrite itself.

Ebay seems to have intermittent offers that seem decent.

However, it might be worth looking into buying the chips before they are attached to the case.

Maybe something like pic related (SD card that folks to plug directly into usb) exists cheaply (doesn't need to be foldable).

I think they are called COB (chip on board) drives, but someone more /tech/ inclined probably knows more.

Disregard that last bit; I had the different types of usb wrong.
