I say if we should link it for updates to the internet, this makes us traceble and if the kikes want to stop it they'll come directly after us. offline usbdrives are much harder to censor than 8chan (online website that can be censored for muh kikereasons, biased hatespeech and muh terrorism and so forth).
I'd say when we update things we put them on new drives, eventually with versions and dates from what period it came from.
Also, more importantly, updating the drives afterwards will compromise them, we're not NSA or next-gen AI's that can secure it to such an extend that Kikes, SJW, governments, trolls, …. have no chance to take down the project and /or change it to bluepill if one gains access to the update-system!
To counterattack, they'd have to launch bluepill USB's in order to stop us (or just intensify media propaganda), if there is a system that can access the drives remotely everything could be compromised.
We're also on a public board, it takes only one wrong person to gain access and sabotage everything.
