Any nice browsers out there? I can't find one thats minimalistic and smooth. And i don't know how to use and install CSS themes. I'm using chromium at the moment.

Install Icecat.

the current thing to do is to use firefox and the stylish plugin. the plugin allows you to theme with css all of the ui. you then go to userstyles.org and customise a theme.

chromium isn't generally recommended as it is google and so highly botnet.

>And i don't know how to use and install CSS themes.

This isn't the board for you.

>I'm using chromium

Chromium doesn't have CSS themes. It has autistic color scheme changes. Install firefox or icecat, and download something called 'stylish'. Then, go to userstyles.org and search for 'firefox'. Do this for all the webpages you use frequently as well.

You should really be in a 'ricing for noobs' thread, not your own.

get qutebrowser

pale moon is good, qutebrowser is probably gonna be the best after 1.0 is released

I know It's BunsenLabs but it's basically debian jessie.

Tried Arch w/ Awesomewm until I cut myself from the edgy updates.

btw found this cool wm tiler shell script for openbox.

My 3 stages of ricing. I'm finally at something that doesn't ruint your eyees when you look at it but it's still pretty shit. Why has god forsaken me, why am I so shit @ ricing

You are new to ricing. It will take a lot of time to get your perfect setup. Keep experimenting.

Take a look at configs other people already made & steal things you like.

There is this thread in the Arch forums: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=103369

That's how I found this colour pallete

I am bad at colors and color schemes

Anyone has any good couple of colors that fit well, cause I tried it myself and I'm not sure if my eyes have recovered.

I want something similar to pic related. Any variations on accent colors that fit are also fine.

Please, I need to change it up a bit

This site helps. It generates colors for you.

May I ask what browser this person in pic is using?

It looks like a CLI based browser but it's not W3M (I think)

I am not sure, anyone wanna help me figure it out? Or at least suggest a good browser that fits my system wide theme easily?

its just firefox with a userstyle.css

Really? Sweet. I try to keep away from firefox as much as possible, I like sandboxes but I'm not used to worrying about ram.

Faggot that's firefox. It's really the only riceable browser out there.

Is every 8ch board as dead as this one?

8ch is definitely slow, even moreso after the split between 8ch and 8ch.pl

That being said I notice that the traffic to boards like /rice/ and /n/ is still pretty consistent

I'm also p sure the onion community here is a bit more established, maybe not as much as /r/onions tho.

Here is a little nice looking skin for my fellows.

It is called Subject Beauty. Originally it wouldn't show the embedded on the songs pictures, but I "fixed" that. Kind of cheated, so I am not sure if it is going to work on anything else than foobar2000 v1.3.8 (the current newest version), but most likely it will.

/tech/ send me to this dead place, so enjoy not much.

Not too shabby!

actually pretty gud looking

90% of the shit I do is through my web browser.

Rice up my Iceweasel pls.

Install icecat, or brave.

brave is shit, it removes ads and then replaces them with its own. It's a fucking scam.

Is this a joke? why would someone ever install a chromium based pre-alpha browser with the intend to rice it?

This is very /tech/ related and has some light /rice/ elements. I wanted to spread this to you so that you would stay informed. I hope this helps you.

Dumping massive /tech/ guide and redpill

following these instructions may severely break your computer and firefox and may ruin your privacy and your entire life.

do any of these things at your own risk.

I am not responsible for anything bad that happens to you.

Some of these things DO mess up your ability to use 8chan and screw up the way the site functions so pick and choose carefully, use saves/different profiles or something.

This may void your warranty.

Ask a professional and the mozilla team before doing anything.

You have been warned.

first open about:config

to protect against SSLv3 exploit you can use the mozilla addon "SSL version control"

or set security.tls.version.min = 1 in about:config for Mozilla Firefox.

To restore change the value back to the security.tls.version.min = 0. That's it.

In Mozilla Thunderbird you can set it also in about:config, which You can find in: Tools → Options → Advanced → General → Config Editor.

Always use a firefox fork that gets regular good security updates. never use a main distribution. the underdogs are your friends.

remember to explore "about:permissions" as well.

(search these so they come up)

Is this good advice or the ramblings of an overly paranoid basment dweller?

Considering absolutely all his claims are circumstantial and have absolutely nothing but personal bias to back them up what do you think?

what is wrong with ublock origin?

if you're not gonna give proof or arguments or citations or whatever, i have no reason to believe you.

are there any KDE Plasma themes that give it a more "modern" look? I switched from windows 10 to linux mint but I prefer the look of windows 10.

I thought it was pretty flat already, isn't it?

When was the last time you used it?
