Anything Cyanogenmod based. If you want Lollipop go with 5.0.2 since the xposed alpha still works on that. 5.1.1 is currently the latest. Pacman will give you the most features.

Really just research them and then try whatever you think you''ll like. Do nandroid backups in recovery so you can always flash back.

I have Blisspop Rom on LG G3 with Onze FOSS icon theme and a Cyanogenmod background. Definitely need a cyanogenmod based rom for the theme engine, ricing without it looks ghetto imo. nah just took the ICO's and converted them into png's with transparency

the thing that gets me is that the fonts are all nice and smooth and not pixely like windows would actually render them

im constantly re-ricing my phone because of how easy it is compared to desktop, but this is the version i keep coming back to

what's shown:

saturn cm12 theme

wunderground weather (i edited out my city)

working on getting off of jewgle

start by ditching the LG ROM, I suggest Paranoid Android (my personal favorite, but anything with the CM theme engine is fine I guess) sans Gapps, unless you are enjoying the Google Life™

after that, I use Apex launcher instead of the Launcher3 that PA comes with, it has a lot more customization and it's super easy (at least relative to desktop ricing)

there's also nova launcher (free apex version is better than free nova imo) and adw launcher, the latter I haven't tried personally but from what I've seen it takes a bit more effort to get it looking decent

So I went a little mad with the cyan. Battery icon is cyan when fully charged. This is cyanogenmod, no gapps, I only install from f-droid. Almost completely FOSS, still not replicant. I made some slight modifications to cyanogenmod, most notable is the transparent status bar. Phone itself is overclocked with an extended battery installed, lasts approx. 72 hrs at full use. I am aware it looks very busy but I hate that flat shit. Launcher is single screen, I'm not a fan of widgets.

stuff that changed from last time:

now using silhouette icon pack

now using a wallpaper from that icon pack

did a new PA install with minimal gapps (play store and services only, installed others after the fact) The only reason I still have gapps at all is so I can use snapchat

I'm not enough of a weeb to brandish it in public so no anime wallpapers for me.

Found this widget https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.devmil.minimaltext a couple days ago and been playing around with it. It's pretty cool.

As far as pics related goes, I can't decide which looks better. The one I chose for now is the smaller text. I also had one with just the time part, and made a battery one but it didn't look as good on the same page and I didn't really want another page.

You can also do sideways vertical text, or just have regular numbers. Other things you can display include battery percentage, temp, voltage; CPU temp, speed; RAM; bandwidth; and more.
