Is that the Cthulhu one? I played it a bit. It was quite good, but I thought there wasn't really enough variety in things like itemisation to really keep my interest. And I never got into the whole magic/sanity thing. It was generally easier to just ignore it.

Really enjoy it, inspired me to start reading HP Lovecraft's stuff.
I'm beyond terrible at it, though. It's so hard to lose your pursuers when you're fleeing, unless you're playing as a rogue.

Basically there are spells like "Darkbolt", "Blessing" etc. that cost spirit (which increases after each level) and if you choose the Occultist background you have a chance to learn some spells by heart (100% at first) and you always start with a manuscript of Darkbolt so you basically have an unlimited supply of Darkbolts if you choose this background.

I'd love more content (monsters, items, spells, new environments…) but Tornqvist prefer balancing IA than adding more stuff. So a the end, it's a good game but it can be boring quite fast.

Attacks have 50% chance to pass through ethereal monsters. But due to an oversight, this didn't apply to thrown weapons.

In next version (17.0), thrown weapons will not be any more effective against ethereal monsters.

But there is a new trait "Bane of the Undead", which makes your attacks always hit undead ethereal monsters (unless you miss completely in the normal way)

Just keep shooting at them, many of the shots will pass right through them, but they can be killed. I think the Tommy Gun is pretty effective against them.

Or abuse the bug in v16.0 and kill them with throwing knives.

Not sure what you mean by this. But darkbolt is very effective against them, since it totally ignores their ethereal property.

If you mean that darkbolt should prioritize them over other (nearer) monsters, then no, I don't think it should.
