I'll probably be thought of as an edgy 16 year old, but my favourites are:

>Slipknot
>System of a Down
>Chevelle
>Queens of the Stone Age

I really like Rise Against, too, OP; they'd probably be in my top 10. The Sufferer & The Witness was one of the first albums that I ever got (I got it for my fourteenth or fifteenth birthday).

Yeah, I feel you, Anon. I'm broke as shit and I rarely am able to buy CDs now (I actually like having physical copies which I guess most people think is odd). I have about 5200 songs on my computer, but like 90% of them are torrented. The last CD I was able to buy was around last October.

If you like them, then I'd really recommend Queens of the Stone Age. I'd also recommend a band called Them Crooked Vultures; it's a rock super group essentially - the lead singer is the same guy from Queens of the Stone Age, the drummer is Dave Grohl (the lead singer of Foo Fighters) and the bassist is the bassist from Led Zeppelin.

Check out the entire album "Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace" by The Offspring. I'm listening to it for the hundredth time as I type this. If you like Rise Against, you'll probably dig The Offspring, too.
