>How can anyone live knowing that any and everything you do is for nothing?
Depends on the scale of things. Every action you make influences your being. Most likely, none of your actions will have an influence on the world. Not even the greatest achievements of humans have an influence in the grand playground of the universe.
>There is no reason to get up in the morning, no reason to fight depression, no reason to try and be happy for everyone around you, and no reason to be alive when nothing matters.
You have to make those reasons, and you have to find something that matters. I'm still trying to find that reason, and that thing that matters.
>There is no meaning to life, and everything ends in death.
You're right, life doesn't need a reason to be. It is. Death is the step after life.
>How can normal people not be freaked the hell out by this? Are they even aware?
They're not. They don't think about such things. They are busy living their lives instead of thinking beyond their lives. They control what they can control, and don't attempt to grasp at things beyond their reach.
>Or do they lie to themselves constantly?
Sounds like what you'd have to do, now that you've pondered this for this long with that mentality.
