The United Boards for Freedom Anonymous 04/13/15 (Mon) 18:12:44 No. 117
This is an official invitation from the United Boards for Freedom
>>>/ubf/ to join our loose federation of freedom.
>What is the UBF?The UBF is a loose confederation of boards centred around the concept of freedom from moderation.
>What is the purpose of the UBF?The purpose of the UBF is two-fold. 1. To encourage posting on a UBF member board instead of their larger, no-fun-allowed counterpart
for example posting on /vvv/ or /am/ instead of /v/ or /a/ , and 2. to encourage the posting of related content between boards to encourage user interaction, increasing the number of UIDs and posts per hour on boards
posting a 2nd Amendment thread on both /liberty/ and on /k/ Well /satanic/, what do you think?

The only rule is that pornography must have spoilers. The board is marked as sfw. Everything else is hands-off, as all perspectives and discussions are welcomed here. As to why it's marked as sfw, I am a parent, and alas there cannot be an array of nakedness and sensuality without spoilers. /satanic/ is aimed at being a lounge for Satanists, for all types of spiritualists and spiritualities, for the (a)religious and non-believer, for forbidden arts and hidden topics, for subjects relative towards the occult, mysteries, and other esoteric pursuits, including psychosocial, theoretical, practical and religious aspects. There are no positions which are alienated, as all are encouraged to engage in debate or discussion. While what you believe is important, it is equally important to inspect and inquire ones considerations. This invitation sounds enticing, but if freedom from moderation means that I must witness the board become ridden with spam, or behold the devolution of this board into incoherence, I must decline. If freedom from moderation implies that there would be no thread containment threads, word filters, random banning of posters for their beliefs, random deletion of threads, or anything similarly beyond what is necessary, then I accept. Besides dealing with the css, raiding, spammers, and other future potentially damaging activities, I think that all ideas, topics and subjects should be examined and openly permitted in some form or another. This is a Satanic board, after all, and each of us seek after emancipation.

>>123 >>124 When you say "incoherence", does that mean freedom posting?
Anonymous 04/14/15 (Tue) 16:48:58 No. 130
>>125 >Meaning of incoherence I see an 'incoherent board' as a three-fold thing:
1) /b/-tier commentary: postings that have nothing to do with topics provided
2) A circle-jerk presence that pushes out other beliefs and creates an echo chamber (
I will delete threads attempting to tell others to get out of /satanic/. Everyone is allowed here, including all dissenting opinions- there are no exceptions to this rule, excluding pedos, spammers and raiders. )
3) pedophilia
If there is nothing which can be done about those things, /satanic/ cannot experience "freedom from moderation". If it is understood that I can help protect the board from such things, including the css and anti-spam/raid mechanics, then "freedom from moderation" is a stance /satanic/ expresses.

>>130 This is a fairly common comment from board owners. I am considering including a second-tier in the UBF of boards that allow free discussion but retain the right to keep the board on topic. I know that particularly for small boards this is important because 10 off-topic threads can essentially ruin the board.
I will keep you posted ITT if you don't delete it
Anonymous 04/16/15 (Thu) 02:11:29 No. 154
>>134 This is a thread discussing, primarily, unity and empowerment. I would not delete such a concept nor conversation. If anything, I would ask that subjects such as diets, my feels threads, or "Christ/Satan(ism) iz teh dumbz!" threads be kept to a minimum. Different things happen to different people every day, and so I feel that trying to monitor a certain sense of "serious discussions" is fruitlessly suffocating. People should be free to express themselves. Different types of conversation are bound to happen, and discourse tends towards many ways.
On that note, the overall direction for this place is intended to be a cozy board for esoteric, philosophical, occult and religious perspectives. /satanic/ portrays itself as a comfortable but relaxed online Satanic lounge, where all are welcomed to engage in discussion, debate, or inspection. Every perspective is appreciated. In a world of thought-control, seekers of truth or empowerment must be willing to step into differing waters, and so it would be unbecoming of myself to advocate complete alienation or to not welcome someone simply by reason of their beliefs.
I am interested in establishing unions with other arcane boards, perhaps sustaining a distinct board ring, as well. I think being part of an arcane board ring would help facilitate participation between both the freedom-orientated boards and the boards inclined within occult-inspired materials. We are surrounded with symbols and I think that freedom prospers existing within imagery of its own.

I don't care if threads are off-topic as much as I care about the cleanliness of the board. I also don't care who comes here, pedo or not. Everyone is welcomed here.
I am aware that the >>>/ubf/ is no longer as active as it once was. Bumping this so that more information about both the /ubf/ and the evolution of /satanic/ can be available.
