Does someone have refutations to these flat earth videos that are popping up

i don't get it. why does anyone need to refute this? it's pretty obvious that the earth isn't flat just by noticing that the earth's longitudinal and latitudinal coordinates loop into one another.

Assume the earth IS a flat disc
> my current latitude is 42.7 degrees north
> gravity acts towards an object's center of mass (I.e. The disc's center)
> if I drop a ball on the floor, it should roll north
Go ahead, put a ball on the ground. Does it roll north? If not
> the forces acting on the ball are perpendicular to the surface it is on
> the only shape for which all central facing vectors are perpendicular to the surface is a sphere
So there you have it, the earth is roughly a sphere.
also there is strong photographic evidence

>gravity acts towards an object's center of mass
No it doesn't. There is absolutely no proof gravity exists. We're on an upward moving platform, slowly accelerating. This is what provides the 'gravity' feeling, which always pulls us down.

Coriolis effect.
A spinning disc would have different Coriolis effect than a spinning sphere; it would just be constant from centre to the edge instead of having sine correlation with latitude, changing sign at the equator.
Trying to get spherical Coriolis effect on a disk would require a very exotic force.

This is why you can't reason somebody out of a place they didn't reason themselves into. Refuting these flat Earth videos is at best a service to those who would fall for their half baked delusions.
Honestly it makes me really sad that there are people who can't see how beautiful and special our planet is. It's like they've shut their eyes and they're refusing to look at it, but it's so amazing I can't imagine why anyone would choose to ignore it.

If the earth is flat then why is it warmer at the equator and the poles so cool when because of the distance and size of the Sun should make it day time all day and everywhere just as warm.
Also how do these flat earthers propose how it's day on one side and night on another, I mean even if we were on a spinning disc there would be moments of complete darkness on some points and some of completely bright Moments.

Could the foucault pendulum help somehow? It proves that the earth must rotate (or else you have to assume very weird forces), and when you can show that the movement of the stars is neither just rotating in the same way, nor that it is moving over earth like a piece of tape, then the geometry of earth cannot be flat, or do I understand something wrong here?

Based on observations of our mind we have concluded that observations of our mind are faulty – subject to illusions. If our minds are subject to illusions, then we can never trust our mind. How can you trust knowledge when everything can be illusions? Anything imaginable can be hypothetically possible, so let's say the Earth is flat. Clearly, this would go against observations of our mind, physics states that a flat Earth would be impossible. So, how could this be hypothetically possible? It could be hypothetically possible if what we perceive physics is an illusion. Perhaps physics is nothing like we know it to be. Well, this is not an attractive thought, because then what would that mean for all those that dedicated their lives to physics? But still, it is a hypothetical possibility, and if it is possible then there is no way to know if it is more possible than any other hypotheses. However, to consider it a reality would not help us, for physics brings results. As long as we have results, whether they be illusions or not, then there is no reason to consider other realities.

There's still one hole in this argument.
Even though you did Cavendish experiment, how do you know that the force with which the Earth attracts objects is exactly this gravitational force, and not some other force caused by exotic matter deep underground (so you can in no way just obtain that material and make an experiment), which is fundamentally different from gravity?

The counterargument is to make them draw the whole earth and imaginary field. The force they're describing is inverse-square dependent, so if the planet is not sphere, the force will be pulling slightly sideways in some places. For example, near the 'edge' of the world, such a force would be pulling north, toward the center of the earth's supposed surface. That would be falsifiable.
Of course flat-earthers can't into differential equations or vector fields anyway…
