Hi, I am a student of physical science and let me know that you recommend for learning languages. I have several interests but I have nothing definite, I like particle physics, solid state, molecular simulation, complex systems.

I have heard now what science is being used in Python and Fortran was used long before How do I find it on my own? Where can I see languages used for research?

….

Also, would it be good to learn like "Origin"?

Biology student here, I started with R and it's been useful throughout my career.. However R has quite different syntax and conventions from other languages so maybe it's better if you start with Python or Java.

Have a look at LISP dialects. Scheme is commonly used in science, but it doesn't really matter what you pick, most LISPs are mutually intelligible. Racket is a good one to start with.

LISP also has the giant advantage of being a programming language that isn't a giant steaming pile of hacked together shit that will crash if you so much as look at it funny.

I think you should learn either Chinese or Japanese. Science papers are most commonly written in English, French, German, Chinese, and Japanese. However, with the decline of the west, papers written in French and German are becoming less and less significant. Furthermore, it is very common for important papers in other languages to get translated into Chinese and Japanese, but it is extremely rare for the reverse to occur.

OP post was in English, so OP already knew English. If you're going to learn a second language, Chinese and Japanese are the way to go.
