I am in high schoo. I am currently taking A2 and I will not be able to take calculus until senior year. Heres the problem, I want to better myself in mathematics and physics at a faster rate than what my options present me. What can I do?

 No.3482

Calculus, from Apostol.

Read a calculus textbook

Alternatively just use the Internet and watch some videos.

If you're going to take calculus anyway, I recommend you check out linear algebra instead. The seemingly arcane parts of calculus are explained elegantly through linear transformations rather than the magic 'integrals and derivatives work like this'.

If you want to get credits, you have two options:

1) Self-study calculus and sign up for the AP test. You do not actually need to be in the calculus class to take the AP test. This is a great way to get a head start on college without killing yourself on ridiculously laborious classes. You still need to learn that shit properly, so study to the test until you truly understand every part of it.

2) Take the Calculus class at a community college during the summer or as an online or night class.

If you go the AP route, be aware that while a score of 3 is considered passing, the better universities only consider a 5 as a pass.

I think you need to learn to read and write properly before you start learning advanced mathematics, especially self-studying advanced mathematics.

Leave the kid alone, one can have typo errors, anom
