Let's have a good talk on emulators. Which ones ye like and recommend. After all, there are good exclusives out there.

Project 64

Dolphin

Dolphin can sometimes be a bitch, and hardly ever wants to give me decent framerate and PCSX2 has been known to give a hiccup here and there, but usually works for me.

Current PPSSPP be great. A few years ago PSP emulators were unusable and it seems like many people are still unaware of it and missing out heavily.

For me it be mostly an issue of lack of interest. There aren't many handheld system games that I think are particularly good.

I'm hoping a decent PS3 emulator comes along, because I am itching to play some MGS games.

Let's say I just downloaded the entire library of Nintendo DS games.

Over a period of 3 weeks.

Now, normally, I'm a flashcart man. That's why I got'em.

However, in what way does a person emulate DS games on a computer? Do I dig out me nook from storage and use it as a lower screen? Do I just use me DualShock4 with the touchpad? What's out there?

DeSmuMe be a decent emulator for that sort of stuff, but I don't know the specifics of how it works. I expect ye can find a comfortable setup using yer keyboard for buttons, but I have no idea how ye do the touchpad. Once again, I am not big on the handhelds.

Nope, I got dolphin to run breddy gud but pcsx2 barely handles shadow of the colossus without sound (well ye can enable sound but its crap)

I have a GTX 770… Was decent at the time and should be more than able to run Twilight Princess.

Shadow of the colossus runs smooth for me, but the lighting be really fucking bright for that game in particular.

Just looked into the problems I had with Twilight Princess… I apparently put a texture pack on it and don't remember doing that. Got rid of the texture pack and now the framerate be back in the 30s.

I use UO gpSP Kai, and I get good results as long as no Mode 7 things happen. The battles and world map on Golden Sun lag like a motherfucker. Everything else plays splendidly though.

do any of ye have issues with bsnes on Linux? I often get audio cracklin' and other framerate issues, even though it says it be runnin' at 60 frames per second.
