My first attempt at pirating was going to be TF2, but they released the shitty f2p update around the time i was going to try, so i ended up pirating half-life 2.

Me be an old one, lads. First plundering for I be Microsoft Flight Simulator 1.00, and then perhaps me started again wit ID games in ta early 90's.

My first was a chipped PSX with several games, FFVIII most notably.

The first thing I did after getting a internet conection was pirate morrowind, since I already had the xbox version, and shortly after that I plundered a bunch of SNES and GBA roms.

I was broke but wanted to try it. I bought it later on, as well as Call of Pripyat.

Stalker:SoC , I wanted to play it really, really bad.

First one was the first X-Com gane. The reason was tradition. We got a external HD full of PC games from a commodore fag. These guys were the first group who pumped up Piracy in Europe. Some of their favorite Groups are still active. Guess who has the most releases nowadays.

I think the first game I ever pirated was Pokemon Blue when I was around 6.

Silent Hunter III. Bought the game, but after some time the copy protection refused the disk due to scratches. Called the customer service and they told me to simply buy a new disk. Yeah, no.

Probably would have to be Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. I had already bought it on Xbox so I was like, fuck it.

Pretty much every game I've ever pirated, I've either deleted it an hour or two later becuase it was crap, or bought it a few days later.

GTA: Vice City. Why? I wanted to play it. Where I live, sharing stuff isn't seen as a bad thing. Nobody gives a fuck.

Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast

I played the demo and it was rad as fuck, so I pirated it because I didn't have doubloons and the game wasn't being sold anymore.

Halo CE in like 2001.

Was 18 and didn't want to order it online.

Before that would probably be Final Fantasy III or something in middle school (if we're counting roms).

Download speeds were atrocious and it was just easier to buy games back then (plus disposable income).

It must o' been some ol' NES game. It probably didn' even occur to meself that what I be doin' be illegal. The first modern game I pirated I believe to be Street Fighter 4. I didn't have the doubloons at the time, and what's more I hadn't played nought but a single fightin' game beforehand. Can't think back to any game before that.

Warsong for Genesis. This be back around 2000 and me computer be shit so I just played emulators.

As for games actually made for PC, probably Ragnarok Online (private servers) because I saw me cousin playin' it and thought it looked cool. It sucked.

Half Life 2 when I got me first laptop in 2006, then I didn't pirate anythin' for like a year until STALKER: SOC came out. Between then I downloaded mostly music and maybe 2 or 3 movies a month.

Deus Ex actually, a few years after release in the early days of limewire.

It be either FF7 or Warcraft 2. I can't remember which. I did get x in 1 carts before the two, but I'm not sure if it counts.

I owned it as a wee lad, one of me earliest gamin' memories.

My precious treasure be lost when me family moved across this landmass and it twas before it be available on places such as Steam and GoG. I remember the first copy be a russian only one which I deleted soon after discoverin' this fact.

Finally acquired it 2 weeks after that through ye old Pirate Bay. Had a jolly good time full of pinin' for the past of vidya.

My cousin showed me ZSNES back when it had to run under DOS.

Gundam Wing: Endless Duel be the first game I ever downloaded on me own, I reckon. I guess the truest reason behind piratin' this be the very fact that it be not and has not ever been available stateside.

I have no idea. I mean it be with amiga or commodore 64 (no one actually owned a BOUGHT game) We had like 100+ pirated games, and it be normal to share with others.

I got them all on one of EPIC's demo CDs when they were still Epic Megagames, and I knew I had to have more than just the shareware versions, but me parents are fundies and believed fightin' robots were of the devil. No joke. So I just DLed them myself.

Didn't pirate myself, I bought burned ps2 discs for essentially a couple bucks a piece back in the day when I lived in Slav land where nobody gives a shit about copyright laws. People essentially formed lines outside of houses of people who had DVD burners.

I found a Gameboy emulator back in the early 00s, and the first game I downloaded for it be Super Mario Land 2. I still had me Gameboy back then, but I never had any games for it aside from Pokemon and a couple others since I be poor at the time.

Aside from roms, I think me first one be Doom. I really wanted to try it and me shitty computer probably couldn't play anythin' better than Half-Life 1, so I hit up a torrent site and downloaded it.

It had released before I had gotten into gamin' at all beyond the N64, and I wanted to see what all the hype more than a decade after its' release be about.

I didn't know GoG existed at the time, so I decided to torrent it.

I loved it, and eventually legitimately purchased it from GoG
