So I went back to Skyrim after like two years and apparently just about every top recommended mod in the game requires SKSE now. Didn't used to be a problem for New Vegas but I can't seem to make it work. I cracked Update 13 (supposedly the last one ever done for Skyrim) onto me game, but every time I try to start SKSE it says me version be out of date.

What do I do to make it work?

Uninstall

Use a different torrent

Reinstall and try again

Repeat until desired result

Do I need to save me mods some way?

Watch this video to install SKSE. Then install the mods ye want.

Then, go to SKSE loader, run as administrator, and with any luck (i.e. luck that I didn't have because I tried to run it on a toaster) you'll get it up and running.
