Actually, scratch that. I've actually found quite a bit of content. It's a lot more convenient than I thought, but still slow. (It can get faster dependin' on who ye download from. I've reached up to 450KB down, though I'm currently downloadin' between 20KB and 30KB. I think a friend went offline.) I've also found a lot of ROMs available. May as well make a quick tutorial since this be a piracy board. (I'm assumin' you've already installed the client. If ye haven't, be sure to do so. The Retroshare thread on /tech/ can help ye out if needed. Otherwise, check their stickies.)
First off, ye be goin' to need to add some friends. Retroshare be F2F (friend-to-friend) software meanin' ye can only establish connections with friends, but friends can relay connections between their friends. The more friends ye have, the larger yer network is. The best way to expand the network be to add public servers. If ye visit the websites below, ye can add them and view the content their friends are sharing. (You can also add people from this thread and the /tech/ thread.)
To get yer key, click "Add a Friend" then next. That key will be used for the chatservers. For sharin' with others, click the black dot until it turns green. Post that key to add other users. The old key seems to cause problems connectin' with certain clients. Only use it if the new key doesn't work.

From there, forums and channels will start to become available. But more importantly, we now have access to a network of files to search. There's various forums for file sharing, but let's search for stuff ourselves. Go to "File sharin' > Search" to search the network or "File Sharin' > Friends files" to browse yer friends files if they're sharin' anything. (if you've only added the public servers, there's nothin' bein' shared) From there, search for whatever ye want, and it might come up.
Sometimes games are listed by their ID or title on the disc, so they may not always come up. Not a problem. Either search for single words, or just search the console's ROM extension. If ye search ".wbf" for example, hundreds of Wii games should start to appear in yer list. (you may need to wait a few minutes) I use .wbf instead of .wbfs because it also includes .wbf1 for any game that be larger than 4GB and split for fat32 drives. Now for N64, ye have 3 different extensions. Simply use the advanced search and search for all extensions. (see pic) The gcm extension be for Gamecube (which can be interchangeable with iso), but unfortunately no Gamecube ROMs are bein' shared at the moment. Not even under the iso extension.
Of course, the network only has as much content as the users share, so let's share! Click the folder icon to add a directory of files ye want to share. Once ye select a folder, ye can create a name that will appear in RetroShare, and the share settings. The green square acts as a whitelist/blacklist for friends from select groups, which I'm not concerned with right now. The two blue squares determine whether friends can directly browse files within the shared folder, and whether users can m80ymously tunnel into it. It's up to ye whether or not to share directly with friends, but I do suggest sharin' the files m80ymously. (This will allow yer files to be searched from the network.) RetroShare will then hash the files (which may take a while dependin' on how much ye be sharing) and the directory will be available for everyone to search.
I'm skippin' forums and channels because they should be pretty straightforward, but hopefully this helps some of you.
