This be the best torrent I could find in the 8seas for this game. All credit goes to the original uploaders.

To gain some extra FPS

Go to Options>Video>Graphics

a) Turn off Nvidia HairWorks

b) Set the display mode to full screen.

c) Set foliage visibility range to: low

d) Optional. Unlock the framerate on cinematics:

Open the visuals.ini file inside bin>config>base and modify the text to this:

MovieFramerate=60.0

MovieUbersampling=false

Yeah, I saw that too, but the game be complete and I still had no big problems with it (except minor annoyances like >>6892 mentioned, hope they fix them in a future patch), so don't mind it.

There's slightly better performance too, but it's still pretty crappy in general.

Just started the game. me system exceeds the recommended hardware that's on Steam, but the game still stutters even on the lowest graphical settings. So I hope the performance issues are fixed as more patches come out.

Still, everythin' looks beautiful though. Steppin' out on the balcony and lookin' at Mountain Pass be pretty fuckin' great.

I must say its fully worth the download and disk space. The downgrade be there, and can't be denied except by the shilliest of shills. Also, the vanilla game be pretty badly optimized (patches are slowly fixin' this, however).

BUT

I am havin' tons of good fun with this game. In fact, I never expected to enjoy this game so much.

So me recommendation is: yes, give it a try.
