No, I used to play chess and then saw Arimaa referenced on some AI forum. I've played maybe two games, but now that the Arimaa prize has been claimed the allure is kinda gone

I used to quite a bit, not as much on the game room as real life. It's much easier to teach than chess, especially to kids, and I think it's all-around more fun, although chess is a good game too, arimaa was fun because it was new and humans were still killing bots.

I think I usually used 99of9s set up (i think that was his user name), sometimes altered a bit because the guy I used to play against all the time had difficulties with asymmetrical set ups.
