It's not as easy as it sounds, the random banning and then picking a rule to suit it. Try it out. After any decent numbers of bans, the rule will typically become too obscure to be of any quality.
that said though, I don't think it's abnormal at all for a rule to start out pretty vague and be more finely tuned as situations people didn't foresee start to pop up.

Just to clarify a few points (especially for >>15383 ):
1. the triggering words are the one inside the gold-coloured circle, so anything from "any word can be ban choose your words carefully" is not a ban
2. a word is a combination of letters and numbers surrounded by anything else (e.g. whitespace), so "one two" is two words, but "onetwo" is just one (hence >>15383 )
