Both of you are correct! While asgardiator worded it a bit more explicitly and even has a nice graph demonstrating it, the other person answered first. I suppose this round sort of has a double winner, then? Although I guess >>9883 guessed it first.

When coming up with it, I worded it in a few different ways:
Form 1: Word lengths must build up and build down, but may not build up again after building down.
Form 2: The lengths of phrases separated by spaces/newlines may not ascend after they have begun to descend.

Especially form 1 is similar to what the two of you guessed, and it's equivalent to the other one.
One gimmick is that a "word" is actually defined here as any phrase of symbols separated by spaces/newlines, so "hi!" has a "word length" of three rather thеn two.

Sorry for answering late, I was AFK while you posted. I'm happy you figured it out though. I tried doing a hard sеxy rulе, but I wonder if this one may have been slightly too hard.
