ff6507 No.11156

Militias and the Right to Keep and Bear Arms

0. A well regulated militia for the security of a free State, and its interests.

1. The citizenry has the right to form a militia to protect the Republic from tyranny.
1.2 The right vests on individuals, and not merely collective militias.

2. The purposes of the militia.
2.1 Deterring tyrannical goverments.
2.2 Supressing insurrection.
2.3 Repelling invasion.
2.4 Protecting the interests of the Nation

3. The people have the right to bear arms for the defense of themselves and the state.
3.1 The individual has the right to keep and own firearms and such similar devices.
3.2 The individual has the right to defend himself and his property.
3.3 The State has no right to infringe on these rights.

This shall not be considered seperate from >>11114 but part of it.

bc65da No.11159

The state should be able to restrict firearms from certain classes of people such as convicted criminals and the mentally incapable.

ddbbbc No.11161

>>11159
the state decides what's a crime and what is considered mentally incapable, though. To be a Marxist could be made into a crime or classified as "mentally incapable".

bc65da No.11170

>>11161
That's why Marxists advocate wresting control of the state away from non-communists.

3714de No.11176

>>11161
>3.5 The state has no right to infringe on these rights.

Your communist paranoia is getting on to you.

ddbbbc No.11180

>>11176
That was directed at Panopticon, not your bill. Don't get your panties in a bunch.

e3e942 No.11299

Yes, 30 votes.

58c229 No.11302

>>11156
Yes 22

785889 No.11333

Yes. Seven seats.

ff6507 No.11385

i think this has passed the required time to be voted on.

6a7a05 No.11390

Final Vote Count

Yea:52

Action has failed to meet quorum

Action has failed to pass

e5d23b No.11406

>>11390
NSDAP and RxPx haven't even voted yet. Just because you say it won't pass doesn't mean it won't pass.

e5d23b No.11407

>>11390
>>11406
Also forgot that the Republican Party and even the NF/KKK didn't even get to vote on their own bills. Fucking commies ruining everything.

6a7a05 No.11408

>>11407
>>11406
It has been over 24 hours. Please take a look at the Goddamn sticky for more info on rules of procedure.

2398cc No.11409

>>11407

That is entirely their own fault. They could have voted on their bills in the OP but for some reason chose not to do so. Don't blame communism for a lack of foresight in others.

3714de No.11412

>>11406
These people are corupt, and should be removed.

>>11408
You just don't want it to be passed because you ignored it, and it has had 52 votes from four party representatives.

6a7a05 No.11414

>>11412
It needs 78 votes to meet quorum. What rules have we broken? The only one who has broken the rules is you, my friend.

3714de No.11416

>>11414
There was no opposition to the votes, therefore it is unanimous.
Your 78 votes rule (isn't worth shit) does not apply.
We have not broken any rules.
But, you have broken the law about being apolitical by putting your party's and own interest first.

6a7a05 No.11417

>>11416
It absolutely applies. Read the goddamn sticky. I have nothing against militias, and you have broken the law by carrying out a failed action.

c1d295 No.11424

>>11417
This bill has not passed therefore the action is/was illegal.

3714de No.11426

>>11417
You can shove your goddamn stick in your goddamned commie ass.

What action is that?

The bill was only meant to recognize the claim, not in taking military action.

486ff8 No.11439

>>11416
It is in the recently passed constitution (And I'll remind you that you voted for it) explicitly talks about a 2/9ths present quorum.

If I'm not mistaken, 2/9ths of 350 is 78. And if my logic is still in working order, 52 is a fair bit less than 78.

I have full confidence in the board volunteers and trust them to do their job effectively. I will not stand for baseless attacks on them.

b7e350 No.11451

>>11416
If you aren't willing to play by the rules of the /sen/ate, then you aren't a /sen/ator. Everyone else, even others who are militant, have the common courtesy to respect the process. Either recognize that it isn't your place to contest a vote which did not reach a quorum (I suspect because a better and more fleshed-out action regarding weapons was passed very recently), or get out.
