Today marks the first launch in a series of projected deliveries to low earth orbit for the assembly and construction of the ACP's privately funded and in-house engineered Low Earth Orbital Placement Activities, Research and Development (LEOPARD) station.
The LEOPARD station is designed to serve multiple purposes, including, but not limited to:
+ Low gravity experiments
+ Ease of access to extraorbital space
+ Facilitation of orbital construction, docking, refueling, etc.
This project follows closely on the heels of the passing of ACP's previous HELiOS bill, and is intended to be a stepping stone toward several of the stated missions of said multi-action ( which can be found at
http://8archive.moe/sen/thread/4737/ ).
Upon completion, the station (which is intended to serve as a proof of concept for additional LEOPARD stations, as well as further orbital development projects) will be jointly controlled and operated by both ACP and UCFP personnel, with UCFP chairman Kane acting as Chief Oversight Committee and Operational Director. The COC will ascertain that adequate safety procedures are in place and enforced, as well as assure the prevention of misuse of the facility, while the Director will personally oversee, advise upon, and monitor all experiments, research, and development on board the station.
It is our hope that this event will be the beginning of a new chapter in the history of humanity, and help to usher in an era of prosperity and discovery for all.
Station specs and information will be released as the station sections are completed, pending approval by the COC and the Director.
