bd87ae No.11420
Fellow /sen/ators, we need to defend Malaysia from the treachery of the NF/KKK in the name of liberty.
Action
fifty thousand men (selected based on health, fitness etc. shall be conscripted and sent to fight the NF/KKK on the island of Borneo. After the traitors have been defeated then the conscripted force will be disbanded and each member shall paid between $50,000 and $100,000
depending on the length of the task
Amendment
The force will be a peace force sent in to maintain order and prevent the annexation of Borneo.

Provide reasons. Not just reasons for why the NF/KKK should be opposed, but reasons why we should support this ludicrous proposal to send 50,000 men to defeat 'traitors'.

>>11425As an addition, I'd more inclined to support this bill given a more detailed explanation of what this force will be. Some kind of senate-wide peace force (I.e. 'peace' force) or something else?
I'd rather help workers organise in Borneo to fight back than just send in a bunch of people without any idea of what they're going to do.

I'm inclined to say yes to this on the grounds that an annexation would more readily feed a cycle of war to try to reclaim said territory than stable but tense borders. We don't have a huge say in this but I'd be willing to send some men there to help the locals set up proper defenses; every land and group of people ought to at least have the right to defend themselves against foreign invaders.

Just let it play out, we don't need another ISIS formed in an unstable territory.

21 votes nay, unilateral movement of troops inside another sovereign state is an act of aggression. It would be more appropriate to send logistical and financial aid to the Malaysian forces already present in Sabah.
