There are tutorial quests that have characters talking at you for ages that can be tiresome to do by trial and error, but the general idea is you go in, kill the thing that looks like the picture on the quest card and hack bits off of it. You can capture on hunt quests but on capture quests the target needs to be brought in alive.

Chapter 1: Basically the last chapter of Hanzo story. Main difference is that Homura doesn't go Crimson on top of the school. Dougen's body disappears along with Orochi's and Hebi is left in ruins

Chapter 2: Pretty much Homura's chapter. Asuka and Homu meet up at the ruins of Hebijo for another duel, turn out Asuka is still injured from last time so Homu says it doesn't count. Rin shows up an Crimson's hideout and after CS repels the Hebi assailants, Rin tells them that Hebijo has been turned into a youma development center. CS returns to defeat Dougen (again). Also I think Hebijo gets reduced to ruins (again).

Chapter 3: The Hanzo girls are going on a school trip and Crimson won tickets for a trip as well. Unfortunately Homu lost the tickets, except for Haruka who bough hers, so Crimson hangs out on top of the train. When they get to kyoto the Hanzo girls encouter Kagura and Naraku as the two are being chased by youma. Crimson and Hanzo eventually run into each other and team up to destroy the youma and chase after/protect Kagura

OK, so

Chapter 1 is the end of Burst. The Hanzo confront the Hebijo to get their scroll back. The interesting change here is that Dogen is using his puppetry power to control Haruka. They summon Orochi, but to be full it needs 10 girls. Asuka defeats it and refuses Homura's request for Asuka to kill her

Chapter 2 Homura first feels as though she's unloved/unwanted by her teammates, who constantly partner off with one another and not her. Rin arrives to tell them Hebijo is being used to manufacture Youma for Dogen's ambitions, and the only ones who can defeat him are them. At the end, Rin asks if they'd be willing to come back to Hebijo. Homura refuses because she's not finished with something she wants to do defeat Asuka and asks for the others to be reinstated. They refuse to go without her, so they don't go.

Chapter 3 Involves everyone going to Kyoto. Yomi won a contest for a trip, and that's how the Crimson go, while the Hanzo girls are on a school trip. There they meet Kagura and Naraku, and Kiriya is whisked off to be told the two new girls are to be captured this objective changes to execute them and, while the town is in chaos, the Hanzo try to complete their mission, while the Crimsons begin to question them at every turn. Makes the last fight in chapter 3 even better when you know Asuka is trying to kill Kagura and Naraku, and Homura steps in to stick doubt in there

Chapter 4 involves more of the Hanzo trying to understand/follow their mission amid doubt while the Crimson girls confront them. Afterward, they have their time in the hot spring and antics.

Chapter 5 It goes down. Kiriya tells the 10 girls everything about Kagura and Naraku, and Asuka and Homura devise a way for them to live, even if it means breaking direct orders from HQ for the Hanzo. They train a little - like against Dai and Rin - and take on the Youma generals, monsters, and lastly, stop Kagura from fulfilling her destiny

Chapter 4: The Hanzo girls are ordered to kill Kagura. Crimson squad decides to get in their way. The Hanzo girls struggle with having to follow orders the don't like. After learning Kagura's story they realize that rather than follow orders, they'll try to do what they think is the right thing and eliminate all the youma before Kagura can

Chapter 5: Turns out Dougen is behind the youma outbreak and wants to absorb Kagura's power. The girls REMOVE YOUMA, defeat Dougen (again (again)) and then stop Kagura before she can fufill her purpose of wiping out youma and then waiting to reborn again 100 years later

So, I finally played Deep Crimson's Special Missions. They're fun as hell, specially the ones where you have to beat all the enemies without being hit and the boss rush ones.

Dai is a freaking beast, I beat all the bosses without transforming. Just making a good use of her stance. She's the best

Yeah, that took me a few tries as well. The trick is just on get the rhythm down to move between mooks using the chain kunai.

I thought the 1000 hits combo would be harder but Dai's gatling punch took of that with ease.

Funny thing I noticed, at level 50 Dai's Tiger ninpo sometimes would oneshot the bosses despite not using any shinobi stone. You only need to enter Frantic.

Yeah I had to slow down killing the mooks so I wouldn't be stuck waiting for them to spawn in. I used Rin for the hit counter and had her enter frantic to have the counter last longer

I've done one of them without frantic. I was using Ikaruga against the giant octopus*. I used her L+B and managed to clip the hitbox through its model to hit 4 tentacles** at once. It was a one shot kill even though it was sitting on blue health.

The worst of the bunch are Orochi and Jura. Chasing them all around the level takes away a lot of precious seconds

Finally started playing my copy of Fallout 1 when GoG gave it for free for some reason. It's really atmospheric to this day, the intro is incredible, but man I need to get used to CRPG gameplay
