While that is true their development happens just slowly enough that, if you've already lost interest in them, you're not going to notice or care by the time it ends. I think that's where the other girls really benefit, even if it is in the short span of Versus, because they have not just multiple stories for you to see faults or exaggerations, but playing as them you get more of them. Don't get me wrong, I like them, but playing the game the first time I felt like they were more antagonist than substance - kind of the same way I saw the VS squads.
I think there will be more to them than that, but we probably won't know for sure until March. Here's hoping!

I wasn't all that bothered by not being able to switch weapon types since I'd adjusted to that in the 1.xx era of the game.
I mostly lament the loss of any sort of real customization for your character. There's not even interesting stats on gear anymore ever since A Realm Reborn.
No "Enhances xyz ability effect" or that kind of thing.
All you get is:
Main Stat + VIT + a few secondary stats (Acc, Crit, Skill Speed)
Itemization is so poor and the cross class skill choices aren't really choices either since most of them kind of suck. Basically every Warrior is every other Warrior. They are even taking away the small differentiatior that existed.
Tanks (and only really tanks tbqh) had some options as far as accessories. Once they had enough suvivability in gear they'd fill the rest of the slots with DPS gear (or some would, some opted for 'even more' tankiness)
It was a small choice, but it existed. Now they are nerfing the effect of STR on tanks so wearing DPS gear isn't even a good option anymore.
I could keep going all day but whatever. The game is just too sterile and boring. It looks and sounds nice and leveling up and going through the story is pretty nice too. Its just that once you've done that, the rest of the game is just kinda stupid.

I liked the way I predicted how SMTxFE was going to fail. I judge a series on the quality of its pornography, and the quantity of it. Series like SK have mediocre to somewhat good porn and with a good amount of it. Here's the kicker; when SMTxFE was annouced and the characters were revealed with their personalities, you would expect porn almost immedieatly. I mean, you got big titty Tsubasa, the cool tomboy, assorted lolis, yaoi bait MC, Barry the bara bait, other people, how could this go wrong? Well, a whopping 12 pictures (the last time I checked) of pornographic content of both straight and gay, it was very obvious that this game was going to go into the toilet and back it up for other FE games. Gameplay looked nice, but wow, an entire cast of characters essentially designed to be picked up by porn artists, glossed over to such a degree, this game was destined to fail as soon as the release trailers hit.

The way I use my mouse is weird. I have a cut-out section of a normal mousepad taped to the top of my laptop that I drag my mouse around. The oppaipad would be too big to replace it, the lid to my laptop wouldn't be able to close if I did anyway, and there's no way I'm performing scissor surgery on it to make it fit, so I'd need to completely change the way I use my mouse if I ever wanted to get use out of it.

I only played one Phoenix Wright game, and I got annoyed at the way I had to deduce when an inconsistency was right to point out. Like any time someone referred to a number of gunshots, the ballistics report on the gun that showed how often it was fired (fewer than the number they said) was utterly irrelevant and wrong until it was relevant. So I finished the game, without a guide and without saving mid-trial for the majority of it, and never played a Phoenix Wright game ever again. Not even the one with the hot shota-looking magician girl.
