Dead Rising 1 is sort of different. There are a lot of things that you can't do on the first playthrough because you aren't leveled up enough, so you likely won't be able to complete the story mode and get the true ending on your second playthrough. On my first real playthrough right now, so I'm gonna manage to level up my character and risk getting a poor ending so I can do it it better on the second playthrough. It's better in practice since the game isn't that long to play through.

Oh no, I completely understand where you're coming from on that. For me personally, I do like that about her character but there's more to her than just that. To me though, she's the least Yamato Nadeshiko type of character I've ever seen to the point where I honestly don't see it. I like that she likes to cook and also likes martial arts, two things I love a lot. I really like in EV that her different forms show different progressions of martial arts mastery, with Flash having her swing her arms around, to where Yang has her showing that uses more controlled punches and strikes and taking stances to control that power, and Yin pretty much combining the two. It's also why I really love Kat and Dai, with Kat having a lot of capoiera and Dai showing even more controlled martial artistry. I also really love girls with gauntlets, I think it's the shit.

Not all Dead Rising games play the same, but the third game, on top of being too easy, made some gameplay changes that were lateral moves, like there being more days, the combination system from the sequel being modified, combo vehicles making the game a cakewalk, a storage where you can actually pick up duplicate items instead of needing to look around for them, and being really grey brown. Also the story isn't as interesting as the original.
Its not bad, kind of fun, but nowhere near as good as the first two. It at least felt like it had love into it, which is more than can be said for some modern vidya companies.

I think I actually enjoyed the Mirai fan service in Shiki's GH story more than in Mirai's. The relationship the two have is great.
