Yes, the search engine is locked down somewhat because the owner likes money, but it has no content restrictions and despite the fewer features in the free version the search is still leagues better.

-Character mapping & outline is usually in notepad for me. I prefer to do that by hand, but I'm worried my wife would find my prewriting materials and expect an explanation.

Drafting is done in MS Word, although when I pony up for an android keyboard I'll probably start using whatever office suite I have on my tablet.

Years ago I posted tons of shit on EroticStories.com. I was getting pretty helpful feedback there. Learned a lot about storytelling and effectively making characters feel real. Had to pull it all down for reasons I couldn't escape and don't care to disclose.

Started writing in 1997. All the tons of writing practice was super helpful in college. I recommend everyone do a bit of erotic writing even if it's something that never get's shared.

I've been complimented for my writing skills before but as it turns out I was only good at technical writing and never creative.

Starting on my first stories helped me stretch muscles I hadn't used in years.

I would too. I've already done a few stories that although are incomplete only made my new ones start off even better.
