Initially, I came into this thread with a suggestion and it was quickly dismissed with anecdotal experiences. That's alright, I get it. It's an imageboard and every Anon is looking for a fight accordingly if something doesn't satisfy their unrealistic expectations 100%. Aside from those kinds of posters, the posters and lurkers looking to actually accomplish something should use some logic and realize that a chatroom specifically for shota isn't going to be active 24/7 or ontopic all the time. Look at this board as an example. It has 12 pages spanning all the way back to 2014. That's a snail's pace of activity compared to other topics, and to expect a chat room to be bustling with outgoing people interested in shota is seriously unrealistic.
In order for anyone to be able to get to know anyone else, you have to stay longer than 30 seconds and you have to say hello. I know it's in Anon's nature to be a lurker, but lurking doesn't work when you're trying to be social. That goes for any place you decide to chat at, not just shotachan, lolicit, rizon, or X obscure piece of chat software.
Posting on an anonymous imageboard I wholly expect certain behaviors, and it's good to see that not much has changed over the years. Trolls kill all the fun, really. But in the end, someone offered a viable suggestion and a few others offered pissing and moaning.
Sorry for the lack of greentext. sage added because the quality of the thread is shit and I don't want to bump it over good threads like the Skyrim one.
