Hi everybody. This is CaputCorvis, the new board owner, and I figured I'd give a rundown on this place since I've decided I have time to start promoting on other boards again.
>This board is serious.
That doesn't mean we can't have fun, or that every single thing posted here or implied in a banner or image is meant to be taken 100% at face value. We're serious in the same way /aristoi/ is a serious neoreactionary board. Employ your critical thinking and don't fall for bait.
This board is for leftist discussion of the theory and praxis of anti-oppression politics, particularly of the varieties lumped (incorrectly) together by mainstream discourse as "identity politics", e.g. feminism, anti-racism, queer liberation, disability politics.
>This board is a safe space.
That doesn't mean "no disagreeing with the party line", it means no posting obviously offensive or deliberately triggering content. And while I envision this as a potentially educational space, boring, played-out arguments (e.g. "but black people can be racist too!") will also get deleted as off-topic if they start to clog up the board. Am working on a sticky with FAQs for people who want that kinda stuff addressed.
>My privileges and disprivileges
I am a middle-middle-class, pansexual cis white male with schizotypal personality disorder and generalized anxiety disorder. As such I'm not exactly the best person to be running this board (except in the sense of being comparatively unfazed by what a lot of assholes will undoubtedly try to post here), so anyone with less privilege than me can feel free to take my position if they want. Just send me an email at novembergeist@rogers.com, with some sort of background to prove you're not a /pol/ troll
