4srs though, I really don't know about you Ssen but if someone really wants to arcade, they should really learn how to use the world search feature. No.11804

>Ageplay or age play is a form of roleplaying in which an individual acts or treats another as if they were a different age, sexual or non-sexually. Ageplay is roleplaying between adults, and involves consent from all parties. Portraying any age can be the goal of ageplay, from babies, to the elderly.

The takeaway from this is that you really do not want to give anyone any ammo, because some people are fucking retarded around here and will use anything to satisfy a grudge, or just for a laugh. Whether or not it's a good policy, it's LL's policy, and you are FUCKED if they think you're even slightly in violation. About 5 years ago ageplay of toddlers was a big thing in SL, there were hundreds of "adoption clinics" and playgrounds, now there's only a few.
Still see this sort of crap though, usually in big stores kids playing as kids (using voice too, idk if voice changers) with their extremely protective SL families cruising about.
Another example could easily just be the mass of MLP regions, heck of a lot of actual ageplay (voice changers, roleplaying, etc) floating around there.

Calm down cowboy, nobody 'just imported' him. He joined the group during open enrolment quite a number of months ago, and in all fairness, once someone is in the group, it's hard for an officer just to eject someone unless they have very good reason for doing so. Had the group not been open enrolment, I can assure you he would have definitely not been admitted.
Furthermore, while I agree he apparently doesn't often display good tact (and isn't the most sightly 'thing'): he also doesn't come by often and surprisingly, hasn't caused shit despite his evident repertoire. So you're either new or just don't swing by often; I'm assuming the former based on your post.
At any rate, the only way you're going to get anywhere is by actually approaching an officer in-world talking to one of them about it. Like I mentioned though, he's seemed to have mostly behaved himself to this point at /d/. :1

We cannot act off thread information alone, it will simply propagate into crappier and crappier threads with people posting about people they don't like in the hopes of getting them banned. There is way too much politics involved in this for what it's worth. If they're inactive, they're not contributing and if they're not contributing, why are they still an admin? It really doesn't need to get any more simple than that.
If you're an admin, you were probably selected because you contributed to the group in some way or another; be that cultivating the atmosphere, administration and mediation, etc: and you can't do ANY of that when you're not even around to begin with.

The problem going on right now isn't that voice should or shouldn't be allowed, or that someone complained, or that one mod did something without asking the other mods.
The real problem here is just the extent that everyone wants to turn this into a personal crusade. I tried joining in the discussion in the chat, and literally every opinion anyone would offer was met with so much hostility that I cannot begin to understand what the big deal is.
If no one wants to respect the rules, I don't know why you'd stay at all. If a mod said "we're doing X temporarily and here's why" and the reaction is "Well if X, then clearly you're retarded" then no one will ever have fun in the group.
I hope this blows over tomorrow, but holy fuck if you manbabies are still so deeply offended about this I hope you look at your own lives for a little bit and figure out why you're really upset. I don't know if your spouse is abusing you and you need to feel like you're in control of your life or something, or if a bully at school is taking your lunch money or some shit. I don't care. The answer is simple. Remove Hirokii. Moderators that damage everyone's fun because the "pillars of the community" like Tokeli and Vistu, both of whom seldom talk, complain about something they should be able to handle responsibly.
[19:48] EXPERIENCE (hirokii.hyun): My duty is not to the majority of people here, it's to the regulars that put this place on the map and are pillars of the community.
Here's what real "pillars of the community", aka people whom come bring others to Deshima, think about this:
[19:45] Kiki (kichaza): Since hirokii does not want to listen to the majority and insists on keeping voice off, I suggest everyone to vote with their presence and leave the donghouse while this policy is in effect. If you want a place to hang and do whatever you want send me an IM in the meantime.
[19:47] Adam (raethros): If I may, administrative cohesion is impossible when you have mods handing out veiled threats to ban you because they don't like you.
[19:47] Kiki (kichaza): That's how it is tho. the majority of people were FOR voice during the discussion earlier
[19:52] Kiki (kichaza): I do not like censorship and moderation of things that do not need moderation, it is as simple as that. I'm an adult and while voice annoys me sometimes I know how to deal with responsibly, so it does not affect others.
[21:18] Yu (diskopsys): kyu was really fucking lewd and now hes gone ;_;
[21:18] goggles man (shinodasan): KYU IS GONE
[21:18] goggles man (shinodasan): WHY
[21:19] Adam (raethros): Kyu is pretty annoyed at the voice thing, because he is one of the more common users of it. He'll calm down over the night.
Remove Hirokii. Catering to the one percent, the same one percent that has repeatedly continued to act butthurt over the past seven years in other places on SL, is unacceptable.

Now I got banned by hiiroki yday for 3 weeks but this was rescinded this morning before I even met a ban wall. I'm saying this for transparency sake for the following statement even though I had this opinion for long before: I don't think we should keep admins who are not around enough, the whole voice escapade shows the major disconnect between hiiroki and the current state of /d/. The demographics of /d/ like any group changes. Opinions of 3 old members should be seen as the majority to all the new members. If she had been around she would have seen the current status quo and understood that voice is part of the dynamic present here. Either be active like other members or please resign honorably.

That and honestly- If you're that easily triggered by voice then why are you even around an environment to virtually socialize?
You can literally turn it off yourself or put voices volume slider in specifics to mute.
And if someone isn't going to take time to type to you if you let people know this fact then do you really wanna bother with em anyway? The onus of social difficulty is on you- Not the feature.
(I personally keep it off because I always have music going and I'm always messing with things in order windows, I just think this weird SRD reddit tier crusade against it is kind of creepy and hugboxy and I think people are hiding the real reason they want voice off by default... But that's none of my busienss.)
In addition there seems to be a lot of people who- when faced with other people in "their" club. Instead of going "Oh a lot of different kinds of people are here, I can be a big boy/girl/xir and ignore them if I don't like them since they're not breaking any rules otherwise."
Instead no- Let's gather in a cluster somewhere and talk about how "Everyone but us" is ruining "Our Hangout" for half an hour because clearly people didn't grow past the highschool mindset where they can't drink their chocolate milk and shut the fuck up if martin across the lunch room is talking about his coin collection and you're not interested. Only now you have the power to selectively mute martin and a hangout zone big enough to gather out of local range of damn near anyone so there's even less excuse.
Which draws more "Le circle broke" SRD parallels. IE: I Shouldn't have to make accomodation within reason- Everything should for ME.

I'm a little taken aback by the uproar, but I have enough sense to admit my judgement was misplaced on this, and that I lost my temper with Kiki and Geona both, I happily apologize to everyone here for losing my composure in group chat yesterday.
I have no issue being upfront with this. I just didn't like that people couldn't talk about it civilly instead of turning it into a *huge* thing, it made it very frustrating for me, voice being off for a week didn't seem like that big of a deal, and I get now why you guys feel strongly on it.
>>15601
I banned you for an infraction I didn't realize another admin had already dealt with. It was a miscommunication, and I gave you an opportunity to get out of it, which you took. I never even put your pride on the line, I didn't even want an apology. I gave you another chance, and now you're calling for me to resign. (something I've posited to the other admin's after this whole kerfluffle, because it's demonstrated my apparent being out of touch with the situation, rendering me unfit for duty. the rest of the staff *really, really* wants me to remain on board, so I will for now and see how things go.)
I dunno, I'm told by posts like >>15597 that people don't mind bans being handed out for people abusing things like voice or gestures, but when I actually try to clean up a mess (and correct a mistake.) I wind up with posts like >>15601 (I have no issue with you, Dax. the ban was a mistake and was corrected. I worked with you on this and was very transparent on the matter.)
That's part of being an admin, nobody is happy, and that's fine. However, it's like I told the rest of the staff, I'm really tired. /d/ has felt totally alien to me for months, I have way more fun elsewhere than I do here, and if it's turned into a job only that's a sign I'm missing something here.
I don't know most of the faces around here, /d/ was just a silly clubhouse of a few friends when it started off, and it had an atmosphere of trust that comes with a small time community. now we're hitting what, 400 or so members? It's turned into a mildly bouncer'd social venue, and that's fine, it's just not what I (and several other people) originally came for. It's part of why I realized we made a mistake with letting too many people in, it's diluted the group demographics and pushed away the old regulars who made the place worth hanging out.
It isn't really that bad these days, but it's not really as special of a social venue, and I can't trust people at a glance like I used to be. think of it like going to a small LAN where it's 10-15 same people every few years, then you leave for one year and it's PAX sized at like 2000 people. if that's what y'all really want, it's fine, I just don't know if I want to be a part of that, I value quality over quantity. I genuinely don't mind stepping down if I'm really stirring that much shit, it's not why I do this, I just felt passionately over a sim I used to call home that's now pretty alien to me.
