- Leave the sim/parcel forever
- Suddenly you get an IM later from the same shop that spammed this crap; you were automatically signed up into a news letter
- Receive more notecards until you block the owner of the shop and all their bots
This is an exaggeration, but a lot of these things can happen, and more than likely will happen. Primarily you will get automated group invites for the most part.

Just now came back from a store who's landmark takes you the corner of a sim, in front of a cave. The actual store is down the cave, through winding tunnels and completely underwater so everything they sell is shaded all weird as fuck. On top of movement being janky as hell due to having to swim.
