Ok, amatuer modeler here, I made a mesh for SL and I've textured it and everything, problem is I'm following a tutorial on how to apply the SL mesh to it (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JHWDdrIeD0) and I've hit a problem. At 2:40 they say to select the mesh and the armature, and then press ctrl+p and choose armature>create from bone heat. I don't have this menu option. I've tried everything, and I just wanna get this fucking thing working, any help would be 10/10. Side note, I moved the default positions of the bones, is that fine?

It hasn't been bone heat forever, that tutorial is outdated as fuck

Moving the bones isn't a good idea unless you're planning on using that deformed skeleton, like for a smaller/bigger avatar or whatever you fags make

You should probably do some retopoly first if you haven't done such a thing yet since you posted that pic.

The flow of the polys looks like you sculpted out the shape
