hi guys I've decided to rewrite this game in a real language (python using the engine renpy) because fuck QSP.

I've already made all the places structure and menus and images.

I still need to :

1)write all the texts

2)find and write all the formulas related to every stats (their training etc…)

3)create my own random slave generator (this one should be easy)

I'd like to know if it's possible to have a file with all the texts in this game. Even if it's just a single file with all text dumped in here, some quick copy pasta will make the step 1 incredibly faster.

That is a _huge_ project.

I have had the same thought myself, but decided to go against it, because of the complexity and amount of work.

It would be wonderful to get rid of QSP though (lately it has really been a pain).

I am very curious to see how much you have made so far.

Powerairmax and I are in the middle of an almost complete menu rewrite right now. And we are in the middle of joining the scattered development process of the game. Please share what you got - maybe our time is better used, working on your project than continuing our way.

you gonna need renpy (a free VN engine ) to lanch it.

you also gonna need to copy in the empty pic folder the pic folder from your game.

So basically there are all the basic menus and only the one who's action is just to jump elsewhere actually do something.

It's been utterly infuriating to try to decode other people's additions to their mod to try to fold them piecemeal into /hgg/mod - I seriously underestimated how big a job I was getting myself into, and I think I'm going to have to drop the idea entirely. /hgg/mod will remain /hgg/mod, and Lillibilli's got a pretty good track record of keeping the mods playing nice with each other so I'm going to stop trying to fix what was never broken and if that means the Merged Mod becomes the most popular mod my ego will just have to suck it up.

Additionally it looks like I'll have significantly less spare time in the near future because of IRL bullshit so I don't know if I'll be able to be as active as I have been. If that happens I'll put all my notes and my to-do list in this subboard for someone else to take over. I'll be kicking the first beta version of v6 out onto the main thread at some point today - it's not got quite as many features as I'd like but it's still a significant upgrade over 5.

I've put a hopefully complete version of hggmod 6 up in the thread over on /hgg/, but I haven't had the time to continue further so I'm putting together all my notes and the complete version history of /hgg/mod into a zip to upload here for anyone who's willing to do so to build upon.

I'll still be around and I'll answer any questions anyone may have whenever I've got time free, but for now I really don't have the time to pour tens of hours at a time into modding like I did in the past. Hopefully when things settle down I'll be able to pick up the torch once more.

Full zip should be going up shortly, and my thanks to everyone who contributed to the project and everyone who will do so in the future.

I'll have a few main goals (the same I try to have in any game I mod)

- The mod must not replace stuff modded by another people (can be overlapped a little if no choice)

- The mod must be integrated in the general background (if the game is heroic fantasy, I'll use magical stuff, if futuristic I'll use technological stuff)

- The mod must not destroy the interest of other features (so I'll protect the combat mode to gain slave and I won't produce food if barn is sufficient)

- The mod must be usable by any player, beginner or elite, in a way limitated by his level. It's important for me, to avoid players jump the begin of the game because they must be elite to use a feature.

3 questions.

1. I am allways a fan of not judging people. I mean, if you dont want to replay, thats fine by me. If you want to replay, also fine. But to categorically say, naw, njuggah, no cheatin, no custom slaves, no moneyhaxx, that seems a bit too much.

I allways appreciated when people let you unlock the cheats.

As an example:

Lets say I get marks ( or any other secondary currency) from the training of slaves. 1 mark per slave trained.

I can now use these for temporary enhancements for a single slave( lets say, increase this slaves bust one size), or I could buy more expensive, but permanent versions of this ( permanently allow slaves bust size to be changed if you visit cheater NPC. )"

That way, you add replayability to it, that goes above "I want to be a patrician", and that allows me to gently unlock new content. ( for example, invest a couple of marks in the ability to buy a fiend from The smuggler, a couple of marks in the ability to have the tatoo artist make fiend tatoos, or as a tasty treat, import all natural pig. ),

Is something like this possible? or are there things that speak against this?

2. I would like to contribute text. I know my coding is mostly crap, but if I have a quiet day, I can type 2-3 pages. is there anything that is needed for the Mod? Story, intro, personal experiences? I woul offer my help free of charge under the agreement that I do not even get credit, apart from the usual "a kindly anon".

3. will there ever be an editor to add in own events / slaves / pictures?

don't think anyone ever said that, i once said that i was not particularly fond of cheating, but that was NOT the reason i didn't port the cheats from NINJ4 R4BBID mod, it was the fact that the code for the cheats didn't play well with the other mods changes and would have need to be recoded and revised, my lack of fondness for cheats just made it so that i didn't try too much, the original game cheats are still accessible (even easier since the code is translated instead of having to be typed in russian) and you can also activate it by the menu option, along with the no mindbreak option from the hggmod which is also a cheat.

in part that was the plan already, in the code there are some references to npc friendship, but the thing was either scraped or didn't get to be completed before the coders moved on, i'm not actively modding this game atm but one of the other modders could be interessed in completing (or writing something else similar to it).

That's great, i'm fairly sure Boney M needs some text related to the barn should leave him a message, maybe Strec is in need for something too.

difficult to say, i would hazard a no, but anything is possible and there have been some progress into making custom slaves easier to add.

well, simple consideration:

- give this as an end game bonus. Thus, give it a prequesite like, you need to be at least of a certain fame, and in good standing with some houses.

- the reward: aside from a potentially neverending stream of lolis, allows you to potentially custom order slaves, just the way you like them, if you are willing to spend the sparks. the same mechanic is already active in the custom order slave from slaveguild mechnic, so it needs to be quite a bit more expensive.

- I could also se it coupled on fiend research, and to the fog. Reason being, the fiends are able to breed in the fog…if a researcher could find out how the fiends breed…

- basic idea:

How about you go the tammany route? simply put, eternal rome is eternal rome… but if lets say you had an actual base in the fog…. it would not be under the jurisdiction of the vatican, right?

If, lets say, a patrician started a "wellfare program", and funneled sparks in the slums…. of which a significant portion would go towards the smugglers… who would then use it to build a fog base, and allow you to use the hermetically sealed basements… It would allow you to have an underground vector ( i.e. your fogbase 1), and an aboveground meeting place to deal with the smugglers, who may want specialised slaves, or even visitors from other worlds ( randomly generated requests to train a slave).

- I mean, lets be realistic, 4 houses, plus the vatican, that reads lacking endgame content. However, a base out in the mist, that you have to upgrade ( read: invest sparks in such things as stable walls and a generator) and maintain, but that in return would allow you to be the undisputed king in the mists….

But yea… with the latest merged mod patch, the cheat menu does no longer work, so if you could implement a soft method to get the slave just right….

The cheat menu was intentionally removed because i could not get the code for it to play well with the other mods and updates, since i'm not especially fond of cheating anyway i decided to cut it instead of spending a potential long time to get it to work.

It won't be like that! I 'hate' such games where only the end game is concerned (elitist games?) adn have no commercial purpose like 'rush the 90 first levels while subscribing to reach the interest part of the game' (who said WoW?).

For me a good extension must be integrated for all players to use, beginners and end users, and must be intersting for all.

So the clinic will be accessible with few potential near the beginning of the game and its performance will increase as you develop your char and the clinic itself.

The clinic is constructed by ????? and devices are furnished by ?????. As your fame with ????? increase you'll get better basis foetus and better devices increasing the productivity of all the slaves and you'll be able to produce more good immature slaves.

For now I use general fame as ????? fame but the mod will be done in sort I can use other fame and perhaps more than one fame.

But I'll see that when clinic will be finished, in part 3 of my plan (see my second post here). For now I read all post and stock the ideas, when time comes I'll analyze all that, I hope with other modders, to see how to integrate.

Concerning cheating, anyone can do a slave generation factory himself, see my second alpha, there are a few lines concerning that I integrated for my debug purpose.

An other option for the clinic, that should be easie to write:

you get entrusted with a smuggled artifact, that costs like 2000 sparks. Surprise, its a posessing demon, that was bound in the vatican archives, and has spend the last 300 years in a bottle. Thankfully for you, it is relatively chill, and just happy enough to be out that it agrees to work with you.

Giving it back to the vatican will re enable the possibility of you finding it.

The trick is, the demon in the bottle makes you a deal. It has been locked up so long, and it can only leave the bottle with its owners permission, it longs for some sweet sweet pampering. And there is something the slavemaker is good at.

The demon itself will inhabit an unwilling host slave, and will basically use her as a host body.

requirements:

Basically, hosting an extra person in a room.

Could be as simple as renting a special boudoir, or as complicated as special renting a room that you then have to furnish in a specific manner.

It changes when you talk to him about manipulating his host body. For the demon, its childs play, but he nees some of those tasty tasty sparks as payment.

bigger breasts? better maid skills? nore devotion? Everything is possible with a sufficiently motivated demon. Just deposit the sparks…

The trouble is just, the slave bodies are not allways strong enough to hold the demon. If the demon just inhabits, he can do so for 100 days straight in the same slave. but in the end, he needs to transfer to an other slave, which he will ask sparks for from you if you order him to jump the slave before it is "used up". .

I'll try to deliver a functional beta version, without Bearers of Knowledge, soon to clearly show how it will works from foetus implantation to slave receiving.

After that I'll be able to work on balancing and documenting more in a wiki page so we will be able to speak of precise points.

For example your breast augmentation idea give me the idea of my future mod (if no one do that before) that will be a harem where you can stock immature and young slave to grow gaining physical attributes and sexual experience :)

Lillibilli I'ok for the jon-strec v1.10 mod to be merged, it's stable.

I reworked the code and now all my code is in separate files prefixed with 'sjm' with a few lines to make the includes.

Do you want me to make a special page in the wiki to present the features or do you include them for now in your page?
